Mickey Mouse + Japanese combining robots = ?!?

I'm almost speechless, this is a really odd, unexpected release from Bandai. I'm not sure if it's the dumbest toy I've seen or pure genius. Just click the links to see pics of first the individual robots and then the combined form:

This is branded as a "Chogokin", so there must be diecast metal involved in some parts. And holy crap, the boat from "Steamboat Willie" transforms into the robot's head!
