Cap Action Thor and Loki - pic heavy

Round2 amped it up for this second wave of figures. The masks fit tighter, the sculpts are great, the cloth goods are awesome, super accessories. I am really happy with these sets. I have them on the Playing Mantis bodies. Enjoy the pics.

btw - the packaging is super friendly to collectors for re-storage of the figures after they have been displayed. It is a bit awkward this go around with some of the item placement, tho. Not sure why Mjolner and the furry Thor are behind text. Love the Kirby on the back of the package; not sure why it wasn't on the front as well. But this is a seriously minor squibble with an awesome product.























As promised; some pics of the Hawkeye outfit sans the mask. That bit should be in the Iron Man outfit in the spring.
It looks great, tho I am guessing it might be kind of tight on the new CA body. I am almost wondering if R2 is tailering the costumes to fit the older pm and ideal bodies. Also - and I can't believe I never took these out of the package to discover this earlier - there is a fourth Avenger in the Round 2 camp. From Avengers #223 Antman. coolio

loki - bodysuit and tunic
thor - leggings and belt

If I recall correctly, Spidey had the quiver, and Cappy had the boots, so there is only the mask left.

If I can dig up my earlier versions, I will build the Hawkeye w/o his mask and post a pic.

Those are nice. But Cap needs to build up his muscles for that Thor costume. Is the new Round 2 Cap buffer than the original/Playing Mantis in the bicep dept?

The new R2 Cap is a bit more evenly proportioned than the ideal/pm version. He is also a tad more buff, but not much.
I am an old skool Ideal CA fan, so I am perfectly happy with the monkey arms and barrel chest on the figures. Tho I do realize that look is not for everyone.

These are on the old style bodies, and not the new Round2 CA. They were a pretty tight squeeze on the old buck; they are probably even more snug on the new one.

Oh, it's not a deal breaker for me by any means. I have a mediocre CA collection. I just never noticed his arms looking quite so thin. I think Thor may be the first bare-armed costume I know of. Still looks really nice.
