I really wish we'd get a definite release date on these, or at least some more pics, teasers of series three...ANYTHING. I know the die hards will hang in there, but the general public's gonna lose interest in CA real quick with only two costume sets coming out every six months or so.

I've heard alot of speculation they may abandon the mask concept and simply have interchangeable heads. I think if you do that, you eliminate the relevance of Captain Action himself. An interchangeable head would dilute the purpose. People with a Spider-man head would wonder why they have a Captain Action head instead of a Peter Parker head to go with it. The disguise aspect of the character is what makes him unique. But in a world of more specialized and detailed figures, this approach may be becoming passe' by those who didn't grow up with him. I've actually noticed the generational effect on Youtube reviews. Many collectors do not understand the point of one character masking himself as different heroes. They're expecting the actual secret identity of the hero and not Captain Action. It's fascinating to watch. I think that idea is further complicated by having masks of the secret identity characters. I get it. Most of us here get it. But you would be surprised by those who don't. I think this initial line did sell pretty well, so I hope there is lots more to come. There has been talk of a golden age Iron Man. That would be very cool to see. I just hope they stick with the original concept of Captain Action. That's the primary market they sell to, so you want to keep them coming back through the process.Comment

The C/A guys seem to have no intent to deviate from the original mask concept.Comment

i think the masks look great on the modern Cap. they fit well and look great. i have yet to see any of the releases other than Cpt. America and Spidey but would love to get Thor, Loki and Iron Man. i have not seen Dr Evil yet eitherComment

The Steve Rogers mask is a little big for my taste, but considering the price point, and considering this was their first wave, they will get better. The guys in charge said they are making changes based on input from the buyers.Comment

I agree 100% ! If you're going to do "Captain Action", the masks are essential to the line. If you abandon the masks, then just call it "Marvel Superheroes". People complaining about the masks and wanting interchangeable heads are missing the point of Captain Action.Comment

I love CA and was looking forward to the new line but I thought the heads looked too large, if they r tweaking the product I hoe they make a version 2 of Spidey n Cap, and CA with an interchangable head instead of a removable mask would kill the whole thing for meComment

I'm a bit confused by this statement: there isn't a golden age Iron Man that I know of. Iron Man debuted in the Silver Age (1963 to be precise). Do you mean to say a "first appearance" Iron Man, with the bulkier armor?Comment
-
You are correct. It is the Silver/Bronz age Iron Man based on what Joe at Captain Action Enterprises said. The box will have artwork from Gene Colan and Bob Layton. That is the singular outfit I am the most excited to see.Comment

Gotcha! And yeah, I 'm really looking forward to the Iron Man set myself. I recall daydreaming about a Captain Action Iron Man costume set back when I was 7 years old, wondering how they'd do it (snap-on plastic torso, helmet, boots and gloves with cloth costume?). At the time, I had the Superman, Batman, Phantom and Tonto sets, and longed for Marvel heroes (never got Captain America, my favorite hero).Comment
