Nice to see Mattel waking up to the fact that the Filmation versions are actually more iconic than the toy designs. Lots of kids had MOTU toys, but almost EVERY kid watched the cartoon.

At least in licensing they finally seem to get it. MOTUC, on the other hand... I dread the thought of how many more Vykrons we'll have to endure before we finally get a Filmation He-Man and Skeletor.

What is the general consensus on those "outside" figures amongst collectors of the line? I've watched the line from afar, and I gotta say, some of their recent picks have been dubious. That knight guy Geoff Johns designed as a kid is kind of neat, but not $30 neat.

From what I can see, people aren't happy about them. I'm certainly not. Subs are way down. I didn't sub for next year. Got tired all the filler characters. Not enough core characters and WAY too many odd choices of characters I don't even remotely want.

Nice to see Filmation versions of the characters

I was hoping they would do Blackstar and Overlord. I know they might not be from MOTU but they are sorta the precurser for He-Man.

It's a good series but not bringing them to stores i think was a bad decision.

I've boughten like 2 this year ....., and always miss out on the Core Characters.
I've packaged most of mine up till a later date ....., and thoughts as interests have moved on.
