Marvel signs a deal with Neca but not with BBP or EMCE?! Darn shame if you ask me.

^Well, it may mean the doors are open a bit for such things to happen.

This looks nice. Maybe a cheaper alternative for folks wanting large scale, movie accurate figures (as opposed to Hot Toys).

NECA has a Marvel license and they are making 8" Mego-like figures for Django Unchained. So can we hope for 8" Marvel figures?

I think this license is symptomatic of the huge gap between 8 inch figures and the high end Hot Toys collectibles. There's a massive market out there for companies to make some serious dough from fans who want a nice looking figure on a larger scale, but don't want to make a mortgage payment to own it.

We can definitely hope! Just imagine 8" Marvel figures with quality even just a little bit close to Hot Toys level. Oh, a guy can dream.

You hit the nail right on the head. Look at that Captain America...it's a thing of beauty. It's almost twice the size of a Hot Toys figure for a fifth of the price. $40 versus $200. I'll buy every one they make.

Now imagine if they made a Hulk? They could completely trump that Hot Toys one. H*ll I would buy that and put it right beside my Hot Toys figures if it's done well.

Exactly how I feel. Those figures are going to be gigantic, way to big for the average collector.

Giant figure. Looks like very basic articulation. Decent likeness.

No interest at all from me. Unless they make a Galactus that big, lol.
