    Hanna Barbera by Jazwares

I found the full set of what I think is wave 1 this weekend.

The paint apps are horrifying. Just as bad as some of their past offerings.

I do appreciate the articulation and attention to detail and color. I haven't been this excited about find a new toy line at retail in a very long time.

I still think the old D-toys Flintstones line is more fun, but I do enjoy the accuracy and assortment of these toys. Bring on the rest.

    Huckleberry Hound is my favorite.

The little ones are $6.99 and the big ones are 10.99.

Very cool! I wasn't aware of these before. What are the aprox. sizes of the small figures and large ones? Anyone have a character list for each?

Just saw these today at Toys-R-Us; I'll second the "horrible paint apps" opinion! I couldn't resist Hong Kong Phooey, though, and I'll probably pick up Huckleberry Hound tomorrow! The larger ones are about 7" - if they do Yogi and Fred in that size, I'll get them too!

Big ones are about in 6" scale and the little ones are 3 3/4 scale.

Here are some other figs I had laying around for scale.

Dig 'em, but they seem over-articulated to me. Shoulder, head and waist should be enough for a toy like this.

I had no idea these were out. Nice to see them back on the pegs!

I picked up the 6 inch Space Ghost and Huckleberry Hound and the 3 inch Tom, Jerry and Yogi last Saturday night. The figure sculpts and packaging are nice but I agree that the paint apps are horrible. I was fortunate enough to find some decent ones. Man, this line could be really killer if they do it right.

I'm seeing reports that the 4" line is shipping in split cases - 1 case shipping with Fred, Dino & Rosie, the other shipping with Tom, Jerry & Yogi. I'm assuming the 4" Secret Squirrel and Captain Caveman shown in proto shots are being held for a later assortment. The 6" assortment seems to only be Space Ghost, Hong Kong Phooey and Huckleberry Hound for now.

EE has pre-orders up for some 6" figures w/action features ("Smash" Tom for example, an action feature Fred also), as well as classic & modern Nicktoons figures coming soon (Rugrats Tommy & Chuckie 2-pack w/Reptar)...Lot of reports on other boards that the paint apps are indeed atrocious across the board as you guys have said. It's a shame about the quality, but it'll be interesting to see if these stick around long enough to flesh out a nice cast of characters for these classic toons. I'd also be interested to know to what extent the license covers? I'm assuming no Scooby Doo, but Speed Buggy? Jonny Quest? Galaxy Trio? Herculoids? Josie & The Pussycats?

The 2 different scales are off-putting to me. Maybe if I see them in person one will grab me.

I don't get the articulation design on these. The elbow joints are rendered fairly useless since they can only bend inwards towards the body because the design lacks a bicep swivel and some of them have ankle joints but no knee or hip joints. It doesn't make any sense and limits the usefulness of the articulation they have. The sculpts are nice but the odd articulation and dollar store level paint apps is disappointing. The scales are weird too. Phooey is a giant and Tom is the same height as Jerry.

I hope they get these issues ironed out because the sculpts are very nice and it's super cool to see classic HB characters as action figures.

[Edit] I just saw a pic of the Space Ghost with Blip figure on ebay. The sculpt looks best out of these and has better articulation with elbows that bend normally.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

That's what I was thinking. Why have ankle joints? So they can stand tippy-toe?

I saw these over the weekend...they were just putting them out when I was in the store...I didn't know these were coming either...was very excited to see Space Ghost, I picked him up and would have picked up the Rosie and Flintstones, but they did not get that case.

Based on the back...I'm hoping they will also be doing the Wacky Racer's and Blue Falcon and Dynomutt!

I'm holding out for the Hanna Barbera History Collection from X-Plus. They're 3.75 inches, five POA, killer paint apps, and they're supposedly gonna do EVERYBODY.
First wave is Dick Dastardly, Zandor, Fred Flintstone, Scooby Doo.
Second wave is Tundro, Judy Jetson, Johnny Quest w/Bandit, Wally Gator. And the cardcacks are SICK!
