I'll keep on the lookout...Is there a secret to getting Kraang to stand on his own? I guess it's luck of the draw, but I really wish my opener had come with a stand.

I have a few Kraangs. Don't have too much issue standing them. My best suggestion is not to try too dynamic of a pose with the short foot side. That arm should be at his side or not doing anything wild to help keep balance.

Once you find that sweet spot, he stands pretty good. At least in my experience. Make sure that on that side he is on his toes.

Without Splinter, the Turtles wouldn't have a purpose in life...

They also wouldn't be ninjas out for blood.

So of course Playmates has brought us a new Splinter to go along with the new Nick Turtles.

He's probably one of the most controversial redesigns (behind April) and he's one of the weaker figures in the entire line. Still I've got the full breakdown over at the usual.

I like the new Splinter and he looks really good with that bow.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I like the new Splinter...from the neck down. Though I wish he was a bit more articulated. From the neck up, he looks a bit too koi-inspired to me (tho I think the figure has a bit more white in the face than the actual animation model). His face is too white and his ears are too...doggy. I just wish he and April both had slightly tweaked head sculpts, not a big fan of either. His jade staff is cool though, and he does look great with that bow & arrow!

Any word on Wave 1.5 (?) shipping / case breakdown? Playmates apparently confirmed Dog Pound, Fish Face and Metalhead will be rotated into the current case asst. for Fall, rather than a full Wave 2. I'm curious to know who will not be in the pack-outs moving forward (April, Splinter, Foot, Kraang?)...I don't guess it really matters, but I still have a few to track down!

Spotted the Secret Sewer playset (3-4 of each) at a couple different TRUs. Veeeerrrry tempting even at $120, but I decided to wait (we'll see how long that works). I don't think these will be flying off the shelves, so I'm in no hurry to secure. One surprise I didn't notice from pics or reviews, all the characters on the box are illustrated, they aren't photos of the figures, which I like. Very nice, very vintagey!

My son picked up Leo and Raph. I have to say these are very nice figures for the price. $7.77 at Wal-Mart for a figure like this with lots of articulation and tons of accessories. Shows how much we are being overcharged for other lines.

I got the sewer yesterday from TRU.com. It's amazing and even larger than you think it would be. It absolutely dwarfs the even largest classic playsets like Castle Grayskull and Cat's Lair. There is no wasted space in the box the playset comes in. It's tightly packed with pieces. Parts are even packed inside of other parts. Just when you begin to think that the era of playsets have come and gone Playmates surprises us with this jewel. It is not over priced at $120. It's worth it.

The playset is a thing of beauty. As a playset junkie it was a must buy. It has taken over our dinner table.

Neat! You have even more Foot Soldiers than I do.

That playset looks so awesome. I've been building my Foot army as well in anticipation of its acquisition! I'm at 2 MOC and 6 loose, but may have to grab a few more to spread around that monster playset, I really like the new Foot Soldier design.

                            Is anyone army-building Kraangs?

Spotted the Sound FX Shredder yesterday (hadn't seen him yet) and snapped a pic for anyone curious. Cape is plastic.

I was hoping the cape wasn't so attached so I could use it with the small one. I can pass all of the FX figures though.
