I broke down and ordered them because I love the sculpts. Still don't care for the scale. Just found out from Playmates official Facebook page there are currently no plans for any other Classic TMNT figures other than the four turtles. But they may consider it depending on sales.

Picked up the new Shellraiser turtle van at Target today. It's pretty nice looking and not a bad deal for $29.99. It's fairly big. It's one of those one time assembly deals though. No way getting it back in the box once it's put together. Crap load of stickers too. About half dozen of them are pretty small and you have to fit them into really tight places. Once it's all assembled and all the stickers are on, it looks cool on the outside and is kind of a weird mix of a van and a subway car. Not much for detail on the inside though. No seats for the figures or even a stearing wheel. The spring out spinning action feature is kinda cool. But I would have prefered more detail on the inside, like seats.

Just put up a review of Kraang.

        Kraang Figure Review

Not as good as the Turtles, but fun none the less.

The TRU near me had an end cap of the new TMNT toys and it was already pretty well picked clean. Maybe a half dozen of the basic figures left. Even the vehicles are selling. I was able to get the Sewer Spinnin' Skateboard, Rippin' Rider and the last Ninja Stealth Bike. The Foot Clan Dragon Chopper was already sold out.

Still reviewing these guys and today we're looking at everyone's favorite nerdy Turtle, Donatello!

I gotta be honest, I really like this figure. I'm torn between him and Mikey as my favorite of the Nick designs.

It's sort of amazing how much I've forgotten my hatred of the third toe. That's thanks in part to the great sculpts and ton of fun that these guys are.

As usual, I got the full breakdown so take a look if you're thinking about picking one of these guys up!

I've seen the new Nick Turtles at Target and TRU, and after much back and forth, passed both times. I initially thought about picking up a a MOC set, but all were pretty banged up, so I thought about opening a set of the 4 Turtles on a shelf...but the paint apps on these are pretty bad. Both times I was only able to find one of the four that didn't have smudges, paint slop, rubs or bleeding. The teeth, masks and knuckle wraps I've seen have been terrible. I've looked at 10 different Donatellos in particular and for some reason every single one has dark smudges on his head or nose (??)...Guess I'm out unless I find a better looking set.

Bummer. This is the first time I've heard anyone finding them like that. All the reviews of seen have been extremely positive. My set is also fantastic. Hopefully you will be able to find some with better paint apps because they really are great figures.

All of the turtles figures at my TRU were perfect. I could have picjed up all 8 had I wanted to.

April is training to be a ninja, but is her figure still in training? Well it's definitely missing a few pieces of articulation...

But she's also the most articulated April O'Neil figure ever from Playmates.

Yup she's growing on me! Complete detailed review over at the usual!

I kinda like the round head on april. Not so keen on the square feet.

Thanks for reviewing! Haven't seen her in stores yet...Out of curiosity, do you know if the 2002 head fits the 2012 April?

Notice anything off about the Power Sound FX Mikey I got from amazon?

                              Thats right, it's actually Raph.

The PSFX figures have a lot less articulation than the basic size Turtles but are bit more show accurate in sculpt. They have painted eyes and stumpy looking feet of the CGI toon designs. Scale wise, Raph is maybe an inch and a half taller than the basic one. The sound feature does work well and Raph says four phrases.

                                Like this?

In the interest in full disclosure, when I tried this, April's neck pin popped out... So I don't know if her head will fit on the ball joint, but it could work with very little effort obviously. I just stuck this one on the neck.
