Lone Wolf & Cub - here is the pre-production sample of the cart. Full metal blades on the spears and handles, seat opens up to house the extra blades, front of the cart opens up to show the gun barrels, spear blades can be inserted into the wheels! Preorders will follow soon!

Finally! Some preproduction photos of the Lone Wolf and Cub cart fully assembled and out of the mold! If you guys are wondering why it took so long, this is one of the main reasons. We initially made the cart out of real wood, but it was not very functional. We redesigned the cart in 3D and it now has the modular blades on the spears, which you can also insert into the wheels to mow down some enemies, as well as detachable blades on the handle. There is also a flip-up lid in the front of the cart that has the guns just like in the manga! The seat inside also has a storage compartment to keep all the extra blades and parts too. We should be getting the first pull on the new sculpts of Itto and Retsudo as well as the preproduction image on the baby soon so stay tuned!

Cool stuff! I always wanted the 12" version made by Alfrex (which had a very good likeness of actor Tomisaburo Wakayama) but it was always so expensive, even at retail, because their figures were so detailed and intricate. (Alfrex also made nice Seven Samurai and Zatoichi figures too) Anyway, these new toys sound like they will be nice. I was always a fan of the movies and manga.

(Alfrex also made nice Seven Samurai and Zatoichi figures too) Anyway, these new toys sound like they will be nice. I was always a fan of the movies and manga.

I remember seeing those at the Silver Snail way back and I even remember balking at the price point of $100-$200 for those figures (and the Medicom RAH too). Little did I know where this was heading with Hot Toys a dozen or so years later. Seems like a bargain in comparison! The Seven Samurai figures I saw in Hong Kong were going for top tier prices.
