Modern Captain Action Question

So Samurainoir and I both lucked out and found Spidey and Cap suits at retail, he bought dolls, I didn't.

Any alternative to buying a $30 doll in which to display these? I'm leaning towards one of the MILLIONS of Max Steele dolls at my current Value Village but wanted to hear from somebody with experience.

I posted a thread with some body type comparisons inside the different outfits. My favorite was the PM Captain Action body. The next best seemed to be the modern Joe bodies. The more articulated, the better. Not sure what size a Max Steele is, but if it is similar to a modern Hasbro Joe, it would probably work.

The Round 2 CA body is almost too buff for the costumes. Some of them are pretty tight with the velcro on the back.

The outfits should probably fit the basic ones without the molded on armor bits but I doubt the masks will work. The Max Steel dolls have pretty big heads from what I remember.

Hmm, I wonder if Action Man was anything like the new Joes. Time to go shopping.
