Anyone thinking...Hot Toys? DCUC? DC Direct? Anyone?

I honestly don't know how popular the Adam West version of Batman is in Asia, but if Hot Toys don't go for it, bet your boots Sideshow will. I'd heard Sideshow was supposed to get into the 1/6 DC hero biz, anyway--approaching it like they do GI Joe. I haven't purchased any of those Joes, but they look great. Hot Toys does have better sculptors, though. I'd definitely get Batman and Robin both, regardless who makes them. Well, that's not true--if Mattel made them like they did their Chris Reeve Superman, I'd probably wait for someone else to have a go at it.

Considering a new body will have to be made for the Robin figure (Burt Ward) it will be interesting to see if Hot Toys or Sideshow actually grabs the license. I'm not sure how many uses either company would have for a teen body outside of this character.

I'd hazard a guess that DCD Statues would be the first out of the starting gate (or whatever DCD is called now).

        As part of this series...

This is the only line in the wolrd that I want to see Mego do more than SMDM.

Could you imagine? A Ceasar Romero Joker. Frank Gorshin Riddler? Vincent Price Egghead? Three Catwomen heads like Rudy Wells? A Batcave Lunchbox?

Old timers like me would eat that line right up

Seems like a natural fit for a retro style. I would bet the licensing costs are going to be steep, though.

This is definitely welcome news, but I have a feeling prices on this stuff are going to be $$$$$$$$!! Stiil, it will be interesting to see what the first licensed product is. I guess now we just wait and see....

I'd have zero interest in Hot Toys figures, statues or any other high end collectibles. I haven't waited this long for a few super expensive dust collectors to set on a shelf. I want toys. I'd love a Pocket Heroes or Super Powers scale toyline with figures, vehicles and Batcave playset.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I hope they are faithful to Adam West's body shape. As in "hasn't worked out in 20 years", only has a six-pack in the Bat-fridge...

Agreed. A muscle-bound and "cut" Adam West would look---weird. He needs to be a little doughy....

Adam gets a lot of flack, but he wasn't in bad shape. He just wasn't overly muscular. His stunt double Hubbie Kerns had a pot gut though.

George Reeves wasn't overly muscular either, despite being an accomplished boxer and quite a strong guy by all accounts.
