I think that by putting out so much product in such a short time, they'll drive away "collect them all" fans.
As an X-Men fan, you'll want to get the team, but at these prices, you'll have to make hard choices, too hard for some of us. And then you just decide not to start collecting that line.
I love The Avengers, I have just Cap and Iron Man, and it stings that the team will elude me.

If they released their figures at a slower pace, I think fans would feel more comfortable, save some pennies, and then try to get the series they love completely. In the end, HT would be the winner.
I remember starting to collect new Star Wars (1996-now). Then they oversaturated the market, and I stopped and sold what I already had.

I'm just in for Batman 66. West and Ward will be at NYCC so announcements are expected and figures should be shown. I bet the big announcement is coming there.

Anyone thiking Hot Toys may be oversaturating the market a bit? Too much too fast? It's impossible for anyone to keep up with, but if it becomes too ovewhelming, will folks start to walk away?

I think it will be interesting to see when all of these figures actually see release. I wonder if theygotbottlenecked with announcements due to movie releases and things quiet down on the announcements. I remember when I didn't have anything on preorder from Sideshow and then the Star Wars OT figures came fast and furious. It can really be feast or famine.


This will really be a Hot Toys year (or two) and I know my vintage and Mego collecting will take a back seat.

for sure I'll get the Adam west....I'm hoping they make one of each Batman and yes even the Clooney & Kilmer I'd love to stand them all up in order from oldest to newest

I'm in for Adam West as well, but there's no way the Kilmer or Clooney bat-nipple suits makes the cut !
