In the standard Schleich, Safari and Papo scale, I really like the BBI Legends figures. Way more Dungeons and Dragons/Lord of the Rings looking in style. The figures run from one to two points of articulation all the way up to regular action figure articulation on the dragons. I have a bunch of these. Really nice.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Thats why I suggested the Papo minis to Werewolf, they're quite a bit smaller than the regular Papo figures.

I thought the BBI figures were very cool and I bought a few on Ebay last year (green wizard, blue wizard, ork, werewolf, ranger, dragon rider and elf archer).

I got the Papo minis and mini castle I ordered today. The sculpts are great. They are very nice. But also very, very tiny. Much smaller than classic army man scale. Instead, they are in scale with RPG table top gaming minis. Which actually works out fine for me because they are in perfect scale with the D&D and Path Finder minis I've been collecting.

          I'll post a pic shortly.

Doctor Who magazine has given away plastic army men of the Daleks, Sontarans, Silurians, Cyberman and The Silence. I cannot get enough of them.

Here's a quick comparison pic for scale.

Papo Wraith Knight and Horse (The rider can also stand by itself), D&D Elf Wizard, D&D Dragon, Path Finder Werewolf, Papo Minotaur and PF Archer.

Im beginning to want a bunch of these to. They probably use to sell these everywhere back in the '80s and there no where to be found now.
I like the Safari figures but they are arent cheap if youre wanting multiples for a army.

                            Hey Werewolf (and everyone else)
A long ways back either I or someone else made a post in the classic toys thread asking about the sets that the Knights/monsters from the picture in the above post used to come with (as I had one of the sets that came with red lava men monsters). It was answered along with pictures and names of the sets. I need to try and find that posting for you

update: here we go that discussion started on page 2 of this post and continues to page 4 with more pics posted--

I still have that Dragon. It's the only piece left I have from that set.

Thanks, now I have a idea where they originally came from. They should STILL be selling these things.
I like the sculpts even if they are real small. I have been thinking of getting back into painting miniatures and some of these would look nice. (to bad they arent cheap i would guess since they are hard to find now)
