Broke down and got hot toys Superman

It's on the way, seeing Michael's review was the straw that broke my back:

Superman Christopher Reeves sixth scale action figure - Another Pop Culture Collectible Review by Michael Crawford, Captain Toy

and I also on Caped Wonder's (a site about Reeve and the Superman films) Facebook with a member posting beautiful picture after beautiful picture of the figure in different poses.

It wasn't an easy decision, I haven't spent that much money even on a Mego but I was able to build up enough money in paypal so it didn't quite seen like I was spending real money (even though I was). I found the best price on Evilbay, briefly checked the feedback and pounced. They had 4 left when I pounced, now they are down to 2 (another sold after mine)

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

Got the shipping notification, tracked and insured and it's on it's way

I usually don't go for these premium figures, even though they are frequently fantastic, either they are properties I like but don't love enough to spend that money or I can usually poke holes in the final product that allow me to walk away (Of course if I were rich and had unlimited space I'd get it anyway).

But I love Chris Reeve, the Superman movies and the figure not only has Chris Reeve's face but the body has his build. It just would not leave me alone.

I am glad he is on his way.

And now, there is Keaton Batman, but although I love 1989 Batman, there is not quite the nostalgic fire for it that I have for Superman 78, so even though that figure is practically perfect too, that one I can walk away from easily. Superman will just have to be happy with my Megos and monster models.

    You will not be disappointed!

Superman was my first, followed by Captain America, and now Spider-Man.
When you have one in hand, you will find it VERY hard not to buy more!

This is the first such figure I've ever owned. I asked for it for Christmas and was shocked that I actually got it. It's awe-inspiring. If you are only going to own one Hot Toys figure I'd think this is it.

Congrats Mego73! Welcome to the new addiction which is Hot Toys. You can never have just one... Let me tell you. I can already hear that other voice calling out from the darkest corners of your mind... Yes... Yes... It's becoming clearer. I think I can make out what it says... "I'm Batman..."

I have never regretted a Hot Toys purchase, although I only own 5 of them. But the Reeve figure is hands down my favorite. The detail, likeness and poseability of these figures are unparalleled. I get a kick out of seeing these guys every time I sit down in my living room!!!

He's there, in the back of my mind alright but then I watch "Mr. Mom" and it goes away

But seriously, that Batman is steller.

Got it today. Wow, it's incredible. In person you can see the paint job better with the subtle pink stippling and the added gloss to the eyes.

I admit I caved in and got both the keaton and reeve figures and I don't regret it.
