Awesome Joe, the body looks great!
MIB41, Iron Man is on schedule for late this year I think, along with Red Skull. Dr. Evil, and the Thor and Loki costumes will be the next releases.Comment

Cool. So which six figures will have the Hawkeye pieces to build that figure?
And did I hear correctly on The Geek Shall Inherit podcast that there might be an exclusive black costume Spderman as well as another secret exclusive for cons?Comment
-
Yes, there is talks of an exclusive black Spider-Man, and I think maybe a modern or movie Thor costume or something (but don't quote me on that one). Personally, I have no interest in any modern versions.
The deluxe versions of Capt. America, Spider-Man, Thor, Loki, Red Skull and Iron Man will all include parts to complete the Hawkeye costume.Comment

Joe,
I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to see what you guys are doing with this line. These are the Marvel toys I've waited for my entire life. Perfect representations of the characters I grew up with. The updated body and CA and Dr. Evil headsculpts are just incredible! Having Joe Jusko do the box art is just the icing on the cake, as he is my favorite Marvel artist.
I will be one VERY happy kid when these come out. GREAT JOB!
Dwayne

I agree wholeheartedly with Dwayne here. I initially had some sour spots with the price points on the outfits. But after spending so much time and money on the higher end figures in 2011, this feels like a nice sabbatical from that line. And that's not to say I haven't enjoyed those ventures, because I have... thoroughly. But because there is SO much product coming out this year, I want to take a break from that pricier segment and enjoy figures like these that really cater to my inner child. Having figures that are based on the artwork of popular artists like John Romita Sr. and Jack Kirby do just that.Joe,

Absolutely, it is SO nice to see classic versions of these characters based so closely on classic comic art with no lame modern updates.
My dream costumes...
Green Goblin (John Romita Sr.)
Ghost Rider (Mike Ploog)
The Falcon (Jack Kirby)
The Lizard (John Romita Sr.)Comment

WONDERFUL selections! If I had to pick one other I would absolutely flip to have (but I know I will likely never see) its the Jack Kirby Thing. Just LOVED his rendition. When I think of the Thing, that is the image I hold dearest to my heart. Jack Kirby drew him in a way that made him look dangerous to me as a kid. You REALLY didn't want to be on the wrong end of an argument with him. He was a monster, yet he was still very cool. You were just glad he was on your side. That to me really embodied the whole idea of the Thing. He could be lovable, but deadly too. Kirby's illustrations captured all of that (for me).Absolutely, it is SO nice to see classic versions of these characters based so closely on classic comic art with no lame modern updates.
