I don't know how many have been released, but I do know they hang on pegs around here on a regular basis. With Star Wars product, it's hard to tell what is moving and being restocked and what is stagnant. I think the Mego scale is the last corner of the toy franchise to explore. -

... The problem is, Is Most are just re-issue figures slapped in this new package with little else to offer.... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

If they were reissues of the original figures from the late seventies and early eighties i would want most of the collection.Comment

I think there's a couple of new Sculpts in there ..., but no Entire New figures ... I have Boba, Vader, Bespin Luke and Mace Windu sitting right here ..., and all of these figures have been re-issued many times with New card Toolings.
I like the Vintage Card look myself ...., but can't bring myself to get all the figures again, just because of the new Card. I do want a couple of more of em though ...
But I mostly only buy new Clone Wars Toon figures, when I see them...., But I haven't gotten a New Toon figure for like 6 Months or better.... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

^^^ Well sure there are some that are Harder to get than others.
I haven't Seen the Big Green Pig in stores either ...., I also don't think I've seen Jedi Luke ..., I just saw Tattooine Luke the other day for the 1st time ..., and Only have seen Yoda Once, but I didn't like the Paint Apps. I don't think I've seen the Royal Senate Guard, nore Commander Gree either. I saw RD-4D the other day ....., That was fun, because I remember getting him when I was a kid ..., Then Complained because He wasn't R2-D2 ..., which later I did get.... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

I have been collecting these. The guard was pretty rare and does command a decent price. Like BK said they are the more recent body design. I think they are the best one besides the vintage originals of course. Any figure that someone will use as an army builder can be rare just because they get nabbed pretty quick. You need to have lucky timing and get there as they are put on the pegs, and hope some store worker doesn't care. The hoth soldier is pretty rare, i have connections and have only picked up 2 so far. The rebel fleet trooper, the one from tantive 4 at the beginning of SW is the best version ever and pretty hard to find. I got lucky around christmas and found a bunch, but it took several store trips. Walmart stocks in the early am so if you can get to one around 6am you can get lucky. There seems to be at least one figure per assortment that is under released.Comment

I buy retail so i don't know what the secondary market is. Just do an ebay search for the figure and watch what they end at. Buy it now's are ok but don't tell you what it is truly going for. And of course they are only worth what someone will pay. I can say because they are usually $8.99 and higher there isn't much room for markups. I will say that $25 for one GG is a bit but i have seen a few go for that.Comment

I was out of Star Wars collecting for quite a few years before the Vintage Collection (new figures on the vintage cards) pulled me back in about a year ago. In a way, these are everything we would have loved the 3 3/4 70s figures to have been, back then. Great sculpts (for the size... some good Hamill sculpts, even) and they are now loaded with articulation. Some even have little wrist joints and ball-jointed hips. I've been buying strictly OT figures and that's kept it more than manageable to collect these. Even the paint apps on a lot of these are blowing me away. If you get a chance, check out some of the bounty hunters like Bossk or Dengar. Incredibly detailed, nice paint, and all the articulation you could ask for in figures this size. I would have never dreamed it, but I'm hooked on little Star Wars figures, again. One thing that's making it fun: almost nothing stays carded... I'm getting too old to NOT enjoy the things I buy.Comment
