You are hereby hired to do the SPX for a new Transformers movie, for a fraction of the usual cost!

Excellent. I'll demand that Megan Fox report immediately to my dressing room and slap Shia LaBeouf with a 50 mile restraining order from the filming.

Thanks starsky. He's GX-07 - Mazinger Z (OVA version). He's the 7th figure released from Bandai's Soul Of Chogokin (S.O.C.) Line.

Nice shoot! I've never seen those figures before. I love the story you told there. Very cool. Makes me want to get them!

That was great, very well done.

Love those Soul of Chogokins. I have that Garada K7 (he's one of my favourite robots) but I still need to get that Doublas M2.

Thanks. The vintage Popy jumbo version of Garada K7, as I'm sure you may know, is The Holy Grail of Japanese Toy collectors. Many believe that because the toy looked too damn scary for young kids, very few were sold and I think only 3 are known to exist today. The last sold at auction for 1.7 million yen.

Oh yeah, I remember back when it was just rumoured to exist, no one had any real proof that it was actually made, and then they started actually popping up for real! My favourite story is the Garada that the Bandai Museum (RIP) had on display, in a crappy location at first because they had no idea about the extreme rarity of the toy, they had no idea what they had there. They later found out, and moved it to a place of prestige in the museum, and yes, I made the pilgrimage to see it in person. I love Garada, but I know that I will never own this toy, I have to settle for the Unifive quasi-reproduction of it.

Here's a pic I took of the real thing :

Sorry, I can't resist getting my Jumbo Machinder geek on once in awhile.
