Thats out of my price range. Although a custom can sometimes cost about that much. I have a hard time believing material cost warrant those kind of prices even if its a low production run. Mattel likes playing the collector mentality thing. I see no reason why Master of the Universe Classics cant be put in the toy stores. Because of that I have a hard time with some of the ideas they are coming up with. Retro Action would have sold better I believe if they had given us good character selection as well as availability.
If they made a 3-pack of Mongul, Toyman and Vandal Savage, I'd go as high as $30, but $50 is too much. There's not enough interest in the line. That's been clear for years. it's a shame, but it's the truth.
I'd pay 50 for a Disco Nightwing / Deathstroke / Starfire Pack .....
Maybe a BlackHand / Larfleeze / Bleeze Pack ....
Maybe a Cyborg Superman / Superboy Prime / Wild Dog Pack ....
... But of the figures Shown ..., Blue Beetle & Guy are my only must haves ...
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.
Mattel's "open" letters to fans on this stuff just cracks me up. It's highway robbery, in my mind. The Young Justice figures are rotting on the shelves at $10 a pop. So they can't get $10 for these types of figures. Why should we be expected to pay $16.67 a piece for these?
