    Hot Toys Superman Chris Reeves important Information/discovery.

    I read on the sideshow website, that this figure came with a light up kryptonite base, I was worried that if I store it, if it came with batteries they would leak and damage the figur. So, I called up Sideshows, the person who took care of me, was wonderful, informed me that it does not light up, I informed the person that in the website it states it does light up, The operator but me on hold, went and got the piece and assembled it, when the operator came back, and informed me, it does not light up, it does not have a spot for a battery nor any electrical part. Said that it must have been an oversite on hot toys part, what happens, is that sideshow gets a description early from hot toys, and they post it. it seems here, that hot toys didnot go throught with the light up idea and sideshow was not informed of this.
    Any other meber here put there together and found it does not light up? what do you think. please let me know.

    Are you referring to the Fortress/crystal base? I didn't see anything that indicated a light-up feature. You pop the crystals into the snowy base, and the base is solid, so no light could get through. Also no battery cover on the bottom.

    The only Kryptonite comes with the sideshow exclusive version (which is the one I got). It's a replica of the Kryptonite on a chain that Luthor placed over Superman's neck. No light up there either.

      Hi Earth 2 Chris ;

      Yes iam refering to the Fortress base, up till, I called asking if they had included batteries with it, so that I can remove them, they had the note that it was a light up base, also, if you check some of the ebay sellers, they copied the toys descriptions and they are listing it as light up as well.

          Oh, I believe you. But the real thing doesn't have this, unless it's VERY well-hidden.

          Seems like with the price of this thing, they'd have gotten their story straight!

          Free shipping would have been nice, but the Sideshow exclusive version is long sold out.

                Huh, I believe that was sold out on one time. There must have been some folks who bailed out before payment was applied.
