Reeve's likeness is incredibly hard to capture (believe me, I know) and Hot Toys NAILED it. This is the final word on Chris Reeve in 3D toy/sculpture form.

I agree completely, Chris. I'm actually astonished how much it still looks like him in person. We expect prototypes to look great, but it looks just as great sculpt-wise in person.
I can't wait for mine...I ordered the Limited Edition with the kryptonite chain (only one per customer)...I will NOT open that one...lol.
But now...as I have seen him up close and personal...I think I'm going to order another one for display...that one will be freed from the box for sure...
I ordered mine early through Sideshow but I did so using the easy payment method. Will not get mine for awhile. I wish I could switch it and pay the rest of it now to get mine now.
Call Sideshow. They'll let you go ahead pay now. They let me.
He finally arrived today. Despite the price, I must say it's worth it to me. The likeness is incredible. The costume details are dead-on. This IS Chris Reeve as Superman. Love the base too.
By comparison, the Mattel version looks like a stunt double, or that guy who keeps getting arrested on Hollywood Blvd!
Now, where to put him?!? I put him in my Detolf case in the living room for now, but he demands a perfect display. Some other stuff is going to get the shaft...
