Has anyone got the New 3 3/4" GI Joe Sky Striker plane yet?

I just got one for an early BD gift to myself and it is AWESOME!!

It is pretty much an new sculpt front to back compared to the original.

I saw this a few weeks ago at Target. It was SOOO tempting. I had the origninal Sky Stryker for about a week before a jealous "friend" decided to see if it would fly and through it off of my deck!!! It was never quite the same after that.

It's good to see nice vehicles on the shelf like this.

i have it, and i am very happy with it. yes it does come with ace. pretty accurate in scale and detail to the original.

the new version is reverse engineered from an original but all the original molds were gone. In almost every way they are the same but the new one has a bit more detail in the sculpting, but is only a 1 seater to accomodate the lager size of the super articualted joe of today. No parachutes for the seat, the tail fins are removable as well as the stabilizers. wings still swing and landing gear pops out. overall a great recreation

I bought 4 so I can have the original and I'm doing a set of Transformers seeker jets (Starscream, Thundercracker, & Skywarp).

I missed out on the SDCC starscream, but luckily I do have the starscream label sheet to do the custom, and I have already partly completed skywarp.

I really shouldn't have looked at this thread....I keep trying to convince myself that I only care about action figures- and 7 inch plus ones at that!

I picked this up and like it quite a bit. I only wish the cockpit was a two seater like the original.

Actually, I still have mine from when I was a kid (and most of the rest of my GI Joe vehicles and playsets - including the Terror Dome, my all time fave), but no where to put them so they remain in boxes...

I have the original in my closet. It's a little worse for wear after all the years I played with it. If this comes to Canada, I'll probably pick it up. Maybe hang it from the ceiling?

I wanted the Starscream variant in the worst way...
