GL Classics $5 at Wal-Mart

Was at a Wal-Mart a few towns over, and the wave 2 GL classics were clearanced at $5 a pop. They had one Star Sapphire, which I snagged, two of the B'dg pet pack, and a ton of Medphyl (the plant guy with fishhead), and Fishhead with the Medyphyl head. At $5, I was tempted to get all of them, but I really don't have the room in my DCUC display to fill it up with characters I don't really care much for.

Our Wal-Marts in this area (particularly my hometown store) usually don't discount items this deeply...ever. They let stuff linger for over a year before it just disappears.

I also found the DCUC Hawkgirl/Gentleman Ghost 2-pack for $19. At only a few dollars higher than a single DCUC, I couldn't pass ol' Gentleman Jim up. I've been waiting for this one to be discounted for well over a year, since I have Hawkgirl already.

So check your Wal-marts. If only they'd had Kyle Rayner...

Wave 2 Of the Lanterns Builds Stel.
He is 1 of the best C&C figures for the Classics imo.
More than worth the investment of 5 bucks a figure.

Nothing on sale at my Walmart ..., move along ...

^Yeah, if they'd had the whole set, I may have bit just to build Stel. I always thought he was cool, and the figure looks nice. No Sodam Yat (sp?) or the Cow-Skull Red Lantern either.

Sodam Yat is the Hardest figure to get in that Wave ....
The Animal 3 Pack is a Close 2nd ...
Sapphire's hit & miss all over the board ...
The last 3 are pretty easy to get .

Becareful when buying these to anyone out there ...
Thieves take the c&c parts out of the package all the time. Look down at the bottom before Purchasing them ... I once saw a whole wave with no Stel parts.

BTW ... Stel's legs come with either the Swap-out Red lantern, and the Swap-Out Green Lantern .... Most people want both of each character, so there a ton of legs out there on the 2ndary market.

Saw several of the super friends wave for $11 at Wal-Mart today, plus most of the exclusive set that came out last Thanksgiving/Christmas. Even had a Blue Beatle and Superboy.

The GL movie Guardians 2-pack were $5 apiece.

Did not see the Crime Syndicate 5 pack, but you could order it online at walmart.com last week.

wow that's a great deal. too bad my walmart doesnt even have them in stock or for that matter any dc universe period!! i dont even think they make it out of the stockroom to be quite honest.

I found tons of DCUC's for $7 each at various Walmarts today. Picked up Tyr, Obsidian (Todd Rice), Captain Cold, Samurai, and OMAC. Got a GL Wave Manhunter for $5 and the Aquaman/Black Manta set for $19. I almost bit on an El Dorado but someone stole the CAC piece outta the package. Ugh.

Chris, I snagged that same Hawkgirl/Gentleman Ghost set at the same price last week. It's a steal for sure. I also saw Kyle and the rest of the other GL wave at Toys R Us that same weekend.

I'm hoping to score more of these guys tomorrow when I get out and check the local Walmarts. It's hit and miss though, some of them are on clearance and some are at full retail. It would be nice to find the rest of wave 18 on clearance and piece together Apache Chief though.
