    Matty Sub Going Through

    : From Matty's Facebook post:

: Hi DC Universe Club Infinite Earths fans!

: We have some good news...the 2012 DC Universe Club Infinite Earths subscription program is moving forward! As you know, we did not hit the number of subscribers we were seeking for the club, but we know that there are some very passionate DC Universe fans, so we found a way to make the program work.

: Current subscribers will get 6" and oversized figures according to the schedule that was originally communicated at San Diego Comic Con and online. All figures that have been revealed will be part of the subscription program.

: In order to make the program work, we needed to raise prices for day-of sales. So if you are NOT a subscriber, you will be paying more for the figures on the day of the sale. The good news for subscribers is that you are locked in at the subscription rates previously advertised.

: And the even better news is that we are exploring re-opening the subscription program for a limited window of time. We've heard fans online posting that they wish that they had subscribed, so now you'll get that chance. Be on the lookout for more details and dates next week.

: We still have more good news, we are excited to reveal the winning club exclusive figure...Metron! So all of the subscribers will get their very own Metron, along with his Mobius Chair!

: All of this good news will hopefully mean a fabulous start to the weekend for all of the DC Universe fans!

I'm totally good with that. I'd rather pay a little extra for the one or two figures I might want than pay for an entire sub of figures I don't. Other than Ivy I have zero interest in any of the other figures they announced for the sub.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

It will be interesting to see how much of a premium Matty will charge for the non sub figures. It might actually be worth while for some people to subscribe and just flip the ones they do not want on eBay.

I was in marketing/advertising for nearly 20 years. Let me translate:

: Hi DC Universe Club Infinite Earths fans! both of you.

: We have some good news...the 2012 DC Universe Club Infinite Earths subscription program is moving forward! As you know, we did not hit the number of subscribers we were seeking for the club, but we know that there are some very passionate DC Universe fans, so we found a way to make the program work. we weren't even close to getting the number of people we projected into the club, but since the people we did get are such loud-mouthed whiners... we can't simply make this go away and hope nobody notices.

: Current subscribers will get 6" and oversized figures according to the schedule that was originally communicated at San Diego Comic Con and online. All figures that have been revealed will be part of the subscription program. We screwed ourselves by making these announcements before we knew how poorly this would be received.

: In order to make the program work, we needed to raise prices for day-of sales. So if you are NOT a subscriber, you will be paying more for the figures on the day of the sale. The good news for subscribers is that you are locked in at the subscription rates previously advertised. Non-subscribers are really going to get hosed on pricing. Again, we really wished we hadn't mentioned anything.

: And the even better news is that we are exploring re-opening the subscription program for a limited window of time. We've heard fans online posting that they wish that they had subscribed, so now you'll get that chance. Be on the lookout for more details and dates next week. Please, please, please subscribe. We really screwed up and overestimated response. and honestly, we've only heard 2 people "wish" they had subscribed. So, technically that qualifies as "fans".

: We still have more good news, we are excited to reveal the winning club exclusive figure...Metron! So all of the subscribers will get their very own Metron, along with his Mobius Chair! Maybe we can Jedi-mind-trick some people into subscribing by showing off what non-subscriber losers are missing out on.

: All of this good news will hopefully mean a fabulous start to the weekend for all of the DC Universe fans! see what we did there? there really wasn't any good news in this announcement but we chose language that put a positive spin on a bunch of negative information.

I have almost all of these figures ....
With that being said, I didn't buy the Subscription .
With Who Announced so far ...

Metron looks like your Club Exclusive there's your 30 Bucks . I really don't want him ..., maybe I would Change My Mind, but He's a Pass.

Starman ... 15 + probably close to 9 bucks for Shipping . Pass. Enough said.

Poison Ivy ... Mattel Just went back in Time with the Batman Legacy figures ..., and basically re-actived the Line again before the DC Classics came. Why isn't she in that Line ? 15 + 9 bucks shipping. Probably a Pass .

            Golden Age Flash. 15 + 9 bucks Shipping . I'd Buy .

            Red Lantern Atrocitus 15 + Shipping . I'd Buy .

So ... you got around 126 bucks so far for only 2 figures I want for sure.
            ... I'll pay the Extra Too .

**** Poor Character Selection Matty. Follow your Polls and Threads about what people really want, and leave the Bat People in the Bat Legacy Wave ..., so they Don't get hosed on Shipping.
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

always trading for Hot Toys Figures .

That's some funny stuff there Boss, and probably true.

I've cheery-picked this line pretty well. Subscribing didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. That being said, as long as they are not like $30 or something, I'll buy Jay Garrick and Poison Ivy if I can.

no too fired up about Metron, but I like Atrocitus, Poison Ivy, Star Man and GA Flash. but I'm a DC sucker.

I wish they would have turned that big Legion set into a subscription piece. I doubt many will be sold at $250 a pop.
