what do hot toys figures usually retail for?

Man these things seem to only blow up in value....they all seem to sell out and then double in price...I would love to own a Drago from rocky, but man the cheapest you can expect to pay is like $500!!

do they all retail for about the same price or depending on movie, character etc.?

... "Key" figures go up real quick, and gain huge increases on the 2nd dary market ...., lesser characters stay about the same, and can be found cheaper sometimes ....

Like Dutch from Predator ..., I think he's up to like 450 ...
Then something like Billy from Predator, could be found for under 100 ,... at 1 time.

Or like Terminator 2 figures...
Arnie is around 300 now I believe ...
If you shop around, and don't race into it ... The T-1000 & Sarah can be found for a lot cheaper ... under 130 in most cases ...

Predators Sky rocket for the most part ..., same with Ironmans.... But then like Black Widow can be found for 125 ...
It just depends on the character I suppose.

man i haven't seen any film character go for $100 or less, the cheapest I've seen are the sucker punch chick, Charlie Sheen from platoon and MJ the Thriller version and are still at about $150

... Naw ..., I'm no Expert by any means ..., but I have about 10 of them ..., and have been following these guys for the better part of 3 years now. I have Pre-Orders for 3 of them right now .... Cap, Reeves & Sparrow ... I want to pre order the new Classic Predator too.

I bought a Heath Ledger Joker on sale for $80 and was absolutely delighted by it for that price point.

They seem to be releasing "improved" versions of certain popular characters sometimes.

I think your best bet is to pre-order if there are certain figures you want.

From what I've been reading, there seems to be a bit of wariness around seamless body characters like Drago etc in the Rocky series, where the rubber might eventually dry out and crack and crumble. Not a fun thing to happen if you are paying a premium price for the figure.

After imports, HT figures usually start at $300 here in Belgium. Then they get more expensive...

I notice a lot of people breaking these up into parts and selling them on ebay, what a waste, I just want something that god forbid I need the money...that I could at least get my money back...I'm either getting that Supes or the predator It will be mine, oh yes..It will be mine

The boxes are made so where it doesn't even look like you open them, when you display them .

as far as parting them out ...
I bought a bunch of stuff for my 2nd version on the 84 Terminator Arnie ...
He comes with 2 heads..., and I wanted the leather Jacket version too...
So I bought another Body, Boots & Gun for him...
The Leather Jacket doesn't fit right , because the body is so big ...., and I am having trouble finding accurate SunGlasses.

The Battle Damaged Ironman 2 figure is pretty Nice ...
He has 2 heads..., and His 1 Head, Hands and Chest all light -up ..., his armor re-tracks to show weaponry too.

dam that's pretty cool bro...I ordered the Thriller MJ, I've been wanting that one since it's pre-order days...that one also comes with 2 heads...where can you find a body for it? black if possible or what do they usually go for?

I got mine on Ebay ... someone parted out the Terminator figure ...

Just shows you how big the kit bash/custom community is at the 1/6th scale. The parts are often worth more than the whole... Particularly when these parts are unique to the figure. My mind was thoroughly blown when I saw phone booth sized shops crammed floor to ceiling with figures, parts and accessories in Hong Kong. You could pretty much put together whatever you wanted... Although I'm also sure that much of this stuff exists on a gray market at best.

Sideshow does pre-order as well.
