SDCC 2011 Swamp Thing with Un-Men

I know people were talking about whether or not to buy a Swamp Thing from this years SDCC. I hope my pictures can persuade you one way or the other. I like the figure although not crazy about the flowers on his chest.

I dunno G ... I'm still having a real tough time caring about this Guy ....
The Subscription for that matter too ....

      Atrocitus
      Starman
      Golden Age Flash
      Posion Ivy

& With Metron Leading the Charge for the Subscription figure ..., I'm into this already 130 Bucks with shipping for 3 figures I don't give a Damn about ..., and 2 figure I am only wanting.

I hear ya man, I'm already rather aggravated about all the subcriptions, I renewed MOTUC, didnt renew ghostbusters, their just bringing the same characters back over and over again, the subscription for DCU is ok I guess but im also not overwhelmed by the character choices, and not to mention the cost of all the subs, plus the cost of each figure every month, I gotta pay some bills and cant be buying this many toys it'll be hundreds of dollars a month just on Mattel stuff, I dont think mattel realizes that.

I wanted the DCU Subscription real bad ...
But then they go and show me 5 possible figure..., and considering I only Want/NEED 2 of them ..., I am so on the other side of the Fence.

I would like the MOTU Subscription ...
For the most part, there is only 2 figures I never cared for.
However the what is it ... over 400 Hundred dollar for the year commitment to the line , is it ? ... I can't gaurentee Cash like that ..., I am just not in any Posistion to do so. So If I don't get 1 ..., Then I guess it's not meant to Be. - J

          I don't give a damn about GB ..., other than the 3 12inchers I got.

At the rate they are selling at, I don't think they are going to meet the goal for the DC subscription. There was what... only thirty whatever percent sold by the time they extended the deadline for another week?

I really wanted Swamp Thing, but I was told that there wasn't much retailer demand for it at Comicon unfortunately.

My brother bought me one, and I'm absolutely delighted to get it. Haven't gone over to pick it up from him yet. He said with the packaging, it was pretty huge and took up a lot of room in his suitcase.

Smoke & Mirrors young one .
Seriously ... Like someone on Matty's forum wrote ...
Why do the Fans have to commit for this and it's put on trial , it's a proven successful Toy Line , 20 Waves, Multiple Exclusives, 2-packs, 3 box sets ... when something Like Voltron just gets green lit, and you don't even know if there is demand for the 1st figure ?.

Still waiting on my Swampy...I think I'll be disappointed.

There's no way I'm gonna pony up for the subscription....None of those characters interests me in the slightest to justify the cost....

Jay Garrick is the only figure I would want out of the proposed DCUC subscription figures.

No offense to fans of the more modern comics, but I think they should have started out with a more classic assortment offered.

Neat looking figure, wish it had more articulation.

^ Isn't the articulation hidden underneath the rubber?

Nice piece. It's evidently a sort of hybrid of Wrightson's classic Swampy with some touches from Bissette and Tottleben's Swampy (the flowers). Only thing I would change would've been to make his green a tad darker maybe...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

The only sub figure I want is Ivy and I find it really hard to believe they won't release an Ivy figure in Batman Legacy, Arkham Asylum/City or the reboot DCUC line. She is just too popular of a Bats villian. We may not get the exact same classic version they hypothetically have planned for the sub. But I'd be surprised if they don't make one.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
