Preorders are hovering at 9% which is pretty jarring seeing as there was such a vocal outcry for these figures.

That's really lame. Bad on the VB fanboys.

Just because they ask for it and you build it doesn't mean they'll come...I've learned everyone is always quick to say what "should" be made but then they disappear when it's time to actually pony up...

Doesn't look like they hit the halloween deadline.

            Mego format for the win!

Looks like 8" is proving to be a viable alternative when you can't do a run of 10,000 plus or whatever the magic number is these days to tool up an entire figure rather than just a rotocast head and clothing/accessories.

With the 2nd Lost Wave at only 1,000, and Dr Who at 3,000, I think we are going to see much more of these small run Megos.

Hmmmm.... I remember folks being excited for 8" ones, but I don't recall all that much discussion over 3.5" ones.

This could be like the Kenner 12" SW figures back in the 70s. People don't want to start collecting another line.

I have every VB retro-Mego and pre-ordered the others from Entertainment Earth BUT I can't support the 3 3/4" line. It's sad. They are incredible figures too.

If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

If you venture (get it?) outside these walls, you'd hear a very vocal group that hated the Mego format. While loud, I think their numbers were greatly exaggerated.

Especially considering that preordering these isn't a sign that you didn't buy the 8' figures. I preordered a set and according to our numbers, so did several other members here.

I did hear some of that, but I didn't hear any suggestions for a smaller format. Not that I couldn't have missed it....

The 8" figs seemed a better fit, considering how many jokes on the show are rooted in the Mego era. (There are Megos IN the show even! I whittled a bald spot onto an old Spock head 'cos of that.) I wonder how well the 8" ones sold. I also kinda wonder what the motivation for 3.5" ones is. More selection? Maybe.... but the prices don't seem significantly lower than the 8" ones; at least not enough to suggest going nuts with the characters. Maybe it's easier to make the smaller figures? (Although I'd suspect the tooling required offsets a lot of that advantage.)

For me I think the 3 & &3/4 are all well and good but that inner kid in me refuses to accept anything other than the Re-Mego's. I wish 'em well but my dolly dollar has to keep it Mego.

The Mego format requires far less tooling and increases your ability to get a figure to market place. The economies of scale simply aren't there for the 3 3/4" format. I've spent the better part of this year producing plastic items in China, while they aren't toys, cost is cost and I can back the BBP story up. Unless you're doing a large volume, forget it.

                            The Pre-orders needed don't look good ...
Interesting with all the "Fanboys" out there that complained with the Mego 8inch formate .

If these were made..., I would get a handful of em ...., But I like the Megos better.

If this graphic is true, that's really disappointing. Nov 30th has come and gone.
