How are do 13" DC Direct hold up under play?

Since they are aimed at collectors I worry they might be too fragile. I'm not giving one to a kid but I like to play.
( I was considering the Alan Moore guys since theyre marked down in a lot of places)

The Hands kept Popping off when He played with it ..., but other than that, It looks Still pretty Damn Nice imo.

I think the bodies are solid (they are extremely heavy for 1/6 figures), but the costumes on the spandex-clad heroes get runs pretty easy, from what I've heard. I'd imagine Rorschach or the Comedian would hold up pretty well, judging from their costumes. I have Rorschach and like him a great deal; I really wish they'd made Nite Owl, as well.

My biggest complaint is the hands, as Jason mentioned. The other night I was showing my Lantern figure to my dearest friend, Chris (Emeraldknight47). In the process of showing all the details on the figure, the hands kept popping off and it really diminished the overall presentation. I wish someone could come up with a solution to keep these hands on, short of gluing them. It's frustrating.

Like Torgospizza, I also have Rorsasch and the Comedian. NICE figures! I also have Dr. Manhattan.
You can get him cheap on Amazon. I don't seem to have the hand problems with them as I do with Lantern. I think it has alot to do with the glove material getting in the way of the ball joint.

Yeah, the hands are the issue. I got another Aquaman cheap in an ebay lot with some Captain Action pieces and gave it to my son. He prefers to just display it, since the hands are constantly falling off.

I do know that if you open the Flash, don't even breathe on his helmet wings or they will fall off.
My posts were needlessly deleted ...

The wings on the Barry Allen Flash's head and boots are fragile as well. We have to be super careful cleaning that shelf, as I've already glued them back on several times.
Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?

So the Comedian is cool? I watched a Youtube review and they wer afraid to move the legs because of teh leather pants.

                    How is V for Vendetta?

I skipped Rorchach. I think for a figure that expensive better fabric material should have been used especially if it was based on the movie potrayal. Also I didnt like the mask. Main reason? Too BIG for a Rorchahch.

I could like without Nite Owl unless it was a comic version.

The Comedian is sweet. Well made and I haven't had any reserves about the pants. Of course, I'm not actively playing with him either. I buy mine to pose and display...WHEN their out of their boxes. I certainly have seen my share of deluxe figures that are fragile so I understand the attitude expressed by that reviewer. But in this case I think the pants are plenty durable. If you watch Amazon you can get some good deals on these figures. I picked up Rorschach for $14.99 plus shipping which was only $5.49. The Comedian was $20.99 with shipping and he was an excellent value as well. I know prices have gone back up, but, like anything, there will be a lull again and I would snag me those figures when that happens. Their very nice and a incredible deal when you can get them that cheap.

I spotted the Sandman for 20 at Forbidden Planet usa.

Wish the line had gone longer. I would have liked to see more of the supernatural characters.
I wish Dreams and Visons had made a GI Robot & Viking Commando before quitting and I'm not sure if they really made an Unknown Soldier or not.

They did. He's pretty cool, with a rubber "bandage" mask that's removable.
