OK, anyone on here w/ daughters, this may interest you...
Many people are familiar w/ the American Girl doll line:
American Girl gifts for girls
They feature historical dolls and custom dolls. Since I'm such a 70s diva, lately, I've been thinking about picking up "Julie Albright" (historical doll circa 1974).

Julie w/ her book cost $100. The accessories are also rather expensive.
Today, I was in Michael's Craft store, to get some more stuff for my Zac figure, when I happened upon this:

I picked up the doll called "Sofia" for $20. 2 prs. of shoes, $5 each, a t-shirt and jeans combo outfit for $8, and a tote bag for $5. I took the t-shirt and made a David Cassidy iron-on for it, and scanned some 70s stickers I had, and made "patches" for her jeans. I even found an old hair clip I had as a child and put it in her hair. Tomorrow, I'll put more "patches" on her tote bag. Take that American Girl!
BTW...I changed my doll's namne to Julie!
(I don't have my laptop or camera cord, so I can't take pics at this time, sorry)
