In the Peyo Smurf books Greedy and Chef were two different characters. They were combined in the Hanna Barbera cartoon.

Now that I think about it,it use to be that way early in the cartoon. Somewhere along the line,they combined them.

My favorites were always the Brainy and Clumsy team ups. At the theater we have Smurf advertising where they are hanging from a rope across our lobby. I called dibs on the Brainy to take home after.

I hope to see Jokey in the movie as well. He fascinates me. He plays the same joke on the other Smurfs day in and day out and they always fall for it. It still cracks me up.

Vanity & Panicky are only available (as of yet) in wave 2 of the 2-packs. Wave 3 of the 2-packs list a "Lemon Smurf" and "Smurf" as well, whoever they are. No word on Crazy Smurf, Narrator Smurf or Passive-Aggressive Smurf.

There are 2-3 more playsets planned (a couple way-out-of-scale NYC-related sets and a "Smurf Village"/mushroom house) in addition to the current 2 that are out.

Finally, Wave 2 of both the basic plush and bean-bag plush include Brainy & Grouchy to round out the movie's main six.

I was pleasantly surprised to see wave 2 of the Grab 'Ems & 2 Packs (Handy, Hefty, Baker, Chef, Farmer, Jokey, Papa II, Painter, Panicky, Vanity) are actually popping up in stores now. Also, Plush & bean bag plush of Grouchy and Brainy finally finish the movie's main six in both plush lines.

A generation after mine. I was in college when the Smurfs were big. Cute though. I can understand their appeal to kids that played with them back then. Enjoy!!
