From what I can find out, this was next along with a classic Speed Racer line. The Playing Mantis founder was a childhood fan, but everything got whacked because the diecasts lines were selling really well, which lead to a buyout from Racing Champions...who today, is now literally being bought out by Tomy.

Yeah these are one of the great missed sets. Hopefully the new Captain Action crew can get something similar out eventually.

So close, yet so far. I hated when those didn't come to pass as well. I think those characters might have turned the corner for this line and given it new life.

WOW Those figures are fantastic. why would they not put those out? top notch looking! i would of bought 2 sets, one to open and one to keep MIB. hope someone picks these up and brings them out.
