    Any Hot Wheels collectors here?

After locating my old Hot Wheels from the 70's, i find myself wanting to collect them again. I'm all about going on a toy hunt and coming home with a bag full of stuff for what i would have paid for two action figures! I did quickly learn that i DO NOT want to try and be a completist with these though . I've started picking up some 2011 cars for now, just choosing the ones i think are the "coolest". I really like the Muscle Mania Series but that has grown into getting the HW Racing, Street Beasts, and my wife told me i was going to get the Heat Fleet Series too (she likes them ). There's a Hot Wheels Show every second Saturday near me that i've attended twice so far and have learned a little more each time. At this point i'm a little overwhelmed with it all so i'm just trying to sort it all out and find a focus for my collection.

I started to collect them in 1991 when my oldest son was born. I stopped in 2001 when I finally just ran out of room. I think I have every series between those years MOC. I have a ton of Treasure Hunts, Highway Haulers, exclusive cars and a lot of other things.

I also think I'd sell it all now though. He's not as into them at 20 as he was at 5. So if you want an instant collection let's talk.

This is where my Hot Wheels collection is currently. I started seriously collecting at the end of 1994. I have slowed down in 2010 and am almost to a complete stop buying any new Hot Wheels. I have collected so many that is is indeed over whelming. People ask me all the time "How many HW's do you think you have?". I could not even begin to guess. I call it collecting gone insane.

It was nothing to walk into one store and buy one to two hundred cars and then go on to the next store and do the same on a daily basis. I have a couple of full HW cases just full of one particular car on some of the models.

I sure am glad that I have almost stopped collecting Hot wheels. They are very addicting.

To anyone starting to collect HW's make sure you have a lot of storage space because sooner or later you are going to need it.

Too much space. Need more toys!
