I don't even look any more. I think that is about where they are price wise here as well though the last time I did look. I have to say it has been some time since I can remember toys actually going up while setting on the pegs.

Any idea why the sudden increase in toys? Is it something to do with the price of oil again?

Too much space. Need more toys!

They were $19.99 at TRU when I saw them today. They're officially too expensive.

I feel my scenario is very specific.... I just spent a few hundred bucks
on these things through Ebay sellers when I started collecting them a few months ago.

If I see a figure that I really feel will add to my collection... it is not
(and has not been) unusual to pay $20 for a figure... so, if I was
lucky enough to see one in "the wild" at that price sans shipping costs
...well, I'd be happy to buy it. (I've bought Cold, Supes & Cap Marvel in stores so far)

Do I think the prices are outrageous? Maybe... maybe not... I dunno...
but I really like the figures.

What I have going for me is that I have the 30 or so characters that
I've wanted most... already in my collection... and I don't feel the need
to "collect 'em all"... so that $20 a figure isn't going to seem "so"
        overwhelming as time passes.

(I just might buy that Apache Chief wave as a CASE... but I don't think that'll happen often... anybody want my Bronze Tiger?)

14.97 At Walmart ..., if anyone needs wave 14 or 13, some of them anyways.

BTW ... I think they are worth 20 a piece. Some of them , again, ... anyways.
However to collect this line, ... The best way is just to Order the complete set from somewhere's like BBTS Any Ways if you are a Completist. ... It's cheaper, less headaces and you just have them all. It's the only way to shop with this line imo.

There's always a Figure or 2 That are too tough of Grabs, if you even see them instores, I've given up collecting retail with these long ago..., unless I can get the whole set outta the gate, with just a missing figure. Wave 2 of the Lantern Guys was the 1st set I bought in stores since Wave 1. Thank God for the Internet.

I had to give up most of the DCU due to expenses. I'm only collecting JSA and Golden Age stuff now. So if wave 19 is as heavily JSA themed as rumored, I'm going to preorder at BBTS, I have a credit there anyway so it works out.

I haven't really looked at the prices in a while, since no new figures have been stocked at any store in the last 5 months or so at least.

But I think the prices at all the Wal-Marts in the area is right under $16 ($15.97). K-Mart still has them for $12.99!!!

I've seen all but the Bat-related figures so far from Wave 16. No Robin, Az-Bats or Riddler.

kinda funny how prices fluctuate depending on the region. so it couldnt possibly be the cost of plastic/manufacturing. could it?
