WOW. This has the potential to be one of Hot Toys best selling figures EVER! I will be getting that for sure.

That is just breathtaking....what a great job! I have a few thoughts on this:- They will do this as a DX version for sure: Moving eyes, Fortress of solitude base etc. maybe Clark Kent outfit and head also.
- The standard version would probably be just the figure.
- They will re-release the Jor-El figure maybe in a black suit when this one comes out.
- They may do a DX version of the Superman Returns figure at the same time while the fever is up. May re-release the 2in1.
For me...this figure is a dream come true...and the best company that could make it. I am all over this!

Those pictures are stunning. My son walked by and thought the close-up was a photograph of Reeve. Mission accomplished!!!
I'm not going to wait on the chance of a deluxe version. I'll get this one (hopefully) and if they make another, I'll sell a kidney to get that one too.

I just saw the new pics on Facebook this morning.
Looks like this is going to be a first version that keeps the costs down. Fans are predicting that a more pimped up DX version is going to follow next year with more features and accessories.
I'm not normally that hyped on regular vs deluxe variants, but I think I'm going to be all over this one.
Perhaps they will re-release the Marlon Brando Jor-El as well.
Who else would you want to see in this line? Zod of course. Not sure I'd drop that much for a Luthor, but Ursa and Non would be hard to pass up for me.
I don't know if it's very likely, but I would totally go for a Helen Slater Supergirl.Leave a comment:

That's a good question. Diamond Comics did offer the items through DC Direct,.Does anyone know if Sideshow will actually have them available, since it's DC? I ask because SS didn't sell any of the Hot Toys Dark Knight items, and their site is flooded with Marvel stuff.Leave a comment:

This is a fantastic figure....wow...I have been waiting for ever for this. There are some reputable overseas sellers...and you should hop on them when they put up the pre-orders. Secondary market is going to be nuts on this.Leave a comment:

I was instructed by the overlord (wife) to downsize my collection. Strange...she still wants me to get this one.Last edited by deputypowell; May 24, '11, 2:30 AM.Leave a comment:

BTW ... if 1 wants this ...., Pick it up right when it launches, or when the pre-order goes up. I gotta feeling this bad boy is gonna sky rocket in Price, like the Predators, Arnie & Jackman Wolverine did. Those cost as much as cars now.
I got all 3 Arnies.
And a Predator..., missed out on Wolvie.
Don't dillidally with this .... Trust Me.Last edited by BlackKnight; May 22, '11, 8:13 PM.Leave a comment:

Sometimes its very difficult to order from Sideshow.
Big Bad Toy Store always has a pre-Order for Hot Toys Products. Usally 20 to 40 bucks cheaper than Soliciations. ... , But if you Gotta Have it "now" when it's realeased, alot of China Sellers will have it Months before it hits the states.Leave a comment:

Bigbadtoystore.com
and Cornerstorecomics.com
also take pre-orders for Hot Toys items like Sideshow. They generally sell Sideshow items for less than Sideshow does. Not sure about the Hot Toys item.
Since it is a DC figure, Diamond might distribute it to local comic books stores though its ties with DC Direct like with the Dark Knight Hot Toys figures. If so, your local comic book store should be able to order one for you.
But, remember Diamond does allocate items when their stock doesn't meet orders.
But expect the figure to be priced from $145 to $200 or possibly more. That's the normal retail price for these type of figures in the states. The Indiana Jones figure that's coming out soon is retailing at over $200, but it has multiple costumes, heads and such.
If you want the figure, I wouldn't quibble over $10 to $20. It will sell out and probably during the pre-order phase. If you wait for it to ship, you might not get one.Leave a comment:
