    New ThunderCats trailer from Wondercon.

Looks good. Still not liking Lion-Os spikey Dragon Ball Z hair though.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I HATE the fact that they took third earth out of the equation (or so it seems) That left Mumm-ra open for interpretation, and the mystery of discovering things and persons unknown is gone : (. the fact that desperation of perpetuating their race, and the wonders of the unknown, scrapped so they can easily introduce new toyetic characters. could be interesting, but looks like a horrible attempt to cross Thundercats with Lord of the rings.

Thundera is now a kingdom on Third Earth. Third Earth is still there and where the show takes place.

But, I agree with a lot of what you are saying. I'm looking at it from a glass half full perspective. Yes, I would have preferred it to have been much closer to the original concept but I also know it could have been a heck of a lot worse. Some of the proposed and, thankfully, cancelled Thundercats revivals have been truly horrendous.

Meh, I hate it when they update classic characters, and do not like these new designs at all.

I am pretty hopeful with this one. I mean when he says the "Thunder, Thunder, Thunder, Thundercats Ho!!!! I got really excited! I really liked the new He-Man show and I think this one stands a good chance at being awesome. Here's hoping!

I think it looks cool. Reminds me a lot of the original in style and tone, but giving it a few (lets admit it... deserved) updates.

I will give it a go regardless, and not judge it on the basis of my complaints alone. I think it could have been done great, just by continuing the series. They had fantastic characters and I hope they bring in those characters like Mongor, and The Demolisher.

It's seems interesting enough to give it a try. I don't know if I like the new version of Cheetara yet though.

looks pretty cool. will take some getting used to the new looks for the characters. I just hope it is not so juvenile like the original. and hopefully no Snaaaarf!

I love the Thunder Cats but I'm glad they're not sticking to the exact original story. It's so messed up. I have season one and I also still watch it on Teletoon Retro. I often find myself yelling at the screen when things don't make sense, which is nearly all the time. I still watch though...I think its just that I loved the characters so much. And the art.

The original series is interesting because it seems they borrowed (or Granito'd) elements from other popular kids stories and movies:
                        Thundera blew up (Krypton)
Lion-o often gets advice from the spirit of Jaga (Obi-Wan)
There is a colony of little bear like creatures (like Ewoks)
There are others but I had a long day and my brain is at half power...

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the new series. I think it looks pretty cool. Also not a huge fan of the Final Fantasy hair on Lion-o, but I'll get over it. Cheetara looks awesome.

                          Hmmmm....

Weird that it's set on Third Earth ALREADY. It could almost be a sequel to the original; showing what happens hundreds of years after the original bunch had successfully brought peace to the world.

So, basically it has nothing to do with thundercats with exception to names and "likenesses"

This is what i'm hoping that maybe its consider a sequel and the cycle starts anew. Having the series start on 3rd Earth really stunts the imagination/exploration of the original series. Every episode felt new and fresh with a huge cast of new character intros. Having Thundera be a kingdom on 3rd Earth really limits the universe from the get go.
