Ripping open my JLU's-should I or shouldn't I?

Man, now I want to open mine, too. I'm only missing 10 figures.

LOL! It was fun wilbs! You're a lucky man to only be missing ten figures! I'm still a ways back but I did pick up today:

Cyborg, Plastic Man, Mr. Miracle
The Green Lantern, Kama Toi, and Despero
Silver Banshee, Superman, and Metallo
Superman, Livewire, and Weather Wizard

So I cleaned out my local Target of the remaining three 3-packs they had (one of those above was from another Target) so hopefully they will restock with some of the others I need that are pictured on the back like the Samurai, Black Vulcan, Apache Chief 3-pack and the Amanda Weller 3-pack, to name a few.

Hit Target tonight and they had:

Flash, Captain Boomerang, and Captain Cold
Cyborg, Plastic Man, Mr. Miracle
The Green Lantern, Kama Toi, and Despero
Silver Banshee, Superman, and Metallo

I didn't realize these suckers are $16 a pop now! They were $12 a pop when I left off buying them! So I grabbed The Flash, Cold, Boomerang because it was the only one where I needed all 3 figures. I'll probably go back and get some more next week, maybe they'll restock after I buy up these last 3-packs.

I hear ya' Scott! I was close to selling them off too until I decided to rip them open...I just wish I knew that barely any of them stand up! Kind of takes the fun out of a loose collection but I'll figure something out. Just drop me a line when/if you're ready to unload some of them Scott.

Yeah huedell, I realized that after I posted about Volcana. I suppose if it comes down to needing just her I'd pay whatever for her anyway. I want to see how things go first because I have a lot of work to do to get caught up so I won't be worrying about toughies like Volcana and Hal GL until I have to. There's simply too many other easily accessible figures I need first anyway. Thanks for all the advice though fellas! I really do appreciate it!

Remember too that that poster still isn't complete after all, as I said, Angle Man is missing from it.

Some of the figures on your "want" list are pretty tough finds(Volcanna,Hal GL)........

I suggest getting a nice repro Hal GL... there are a lot out there!

They have shown up at Dollar General and Big Lots as well in the past.

Lou - yea I keep going back and forth on the selling. I'm so far along but at the same time.... I missed Volcana and the 6-packs with Vibe and Atomic Skull (none showed here). I also don't have any of the Matty sets but I do have Solomon Grundy and Giganta. What to do, what to do?

JW, do you know if Target is the only place that has these or do I stand a chance of finding them at stores like Big Lots, etc.? I want to hit some stores today but I don't want to bother going anywhere that definitely won't have them.

Volcanna looks to be one of those "lost" figures. There is no definate answer if she will be rereleased or not. There have been rumors about her for along time. But fairly recently, one showed up on ebay that had translucent hair. I hope they do rerelease her that way. She wasn't in the Toyfair display.

And Target and TRU are supposed to be the 2 main retailers that support whats left of the line. But I have found them for sale is some strange places.

I meant to message you, last night I was also reading in another older thread where you and I were talking about JLU's and you said you may be selling some? If so let me know Scott, I probably couldn't buy all that you have at once but I certainly could probably swing a few. Unless of course you decided to continue collecting as well that is! Good to hear that TRU has some, maybe I'll find some Retro Heroes Wave 4 while I'm there! I'll try and swing up there today if I have time.

Thanks mate! Yes, I know some of them are tough to get or $$$$ but I will deal with that as it comes. I do know there is another Volcana coming out so I will just get that one.

Okay, I never even touched hard drugs in my life but I swear this poster is now updated within the last few minutes!

They been trying to update it for awhile. But got side tracked on some of the other DC lines. Glad you are enjoying the line. Some of the figures on your "want" list are pretty tough finds(Volcanna,Hal GL), but most others shouldn't be much trouble at all. Let me know if I can help........

Yeah me too Scott!!! That poster was updated today!!! It figures right? Right after I finish sorting this mess out. LOL!
I have lots of catching up to do but at least I know what I'm dealing with now. I also agree with whomever in this post said that they are a PAIN to stand up! I saw they make stands for them but what good are they since not all the figures have peg holes in their feet? I'm trying to figure out what to do with them since they won't stand.
