TNI has pics now too. These look GREAT.

I don't have the previous Ultraman, but I think he's the Pre-Crisis version, where this new one is the modern comic version. Owlman and Superwoman are too, but oddly, Power Ring and Johnny Quick are the old versions.

The older/original versions of Johnny Quick and Power Ring were used in the most recent Justice League of America arc may be the reason why they are in the set.

it is going to be neat to have full set of the Super Friends characters and I liked the Suicide Squad back in the daY. Would be cool if Bronze Tiger has an interchangeable head w/o the mask.

It's going to be interesting to see where this line continues to go. It's gone further than I would have believed. I'd like to see more Aquaman and Green Lantern Villains

It does. The unmasked head is at his feet. But I'm guessing it will be 50/50 split between the two versions like Robin is.

Who the heck is Bronze Tiger and why does he deserve a variant? And where is the friggin Huntress? How have they skipped over her again?

Bronze Tiger was a member of the 1980s-90s version of the Suicide Squad, written by John Ostrander. Captain Boomerang and Deadshot were also a member of the group. Basically villains could work their way to freedom by surviving suicide missions. He's a martial arts master, who I'm pretty sure was in the League of Assassins in the 1970s. May be wrong about that. I'd like to see Huntress, too, the original. But Bronze Tiger's pretty cool to me.

He's a favorite character of Geoff Johns who is DC liaison with the toy companies as well as all other media.

He was a regular in Richard Dragon, Kung-Fu Fighter in the 70s also....

Thanks for the info! I honestly have never heard of him. I've been collecting comics regularly since like 86 and I haven't even seen a picture of this guy until now. He sounds pretty cool. I have heard of the Suicide Squad but I've never read any comics. I like the JLU episode called Taskforce X that had that same scenario you described.

I'll be happy with a Huntress in any form they give us. My favorite is her dark purple 90's outfit but I like them all. I just sometimes do a Spock eyebrow when I see the crazy character selections they come up with. Like that dude with a shark head. Why? I would never want to own that. I'm sure there must be people who do though.

Bronze Tiger was also on The Brave and The Bold toon.

I think Huntress is coming. She has done well in the polls over at AFI.

I think the best part about this wave is that I don't want any of them. My wallet is happy.

Those characters on JLU are pretty much the Suicide Squad... in the comic books their code name was Task Force X. Suicide Squad was more of a descriptive nickname than a government lable for them. It never burned up the sales charts given the lack of "name" players, but it was a well written book that made a number of the characters fan favourites, including Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Bronze Tiger, Amanda Waller etc.

They are currently running around Smallville.

I think I might download a few issues to check out. Then if humanly possible and if I like it, I'll see about getting back issues. It will give me something to collect until Morrison is done wrecking Batman.
