12" Marvel Studios What did you think?

I only had the non movie punisher.

Mostly I am curious what you folks thought of the no shoulder body articulation design. I never saw that before.
    Sorry no pics. :-(

( and I remeber seeing in a toy mag two prototype Captain Americas that were supposed to come out but never did, a classic and an Ultimates, or both WW2 and modern ultimates)

The only Marvel Studios figure I have is the movie version of Daredevil. I like him. For the detail given, it was one heck of a deal.

I have both versions of the Punisher and like them both. The no-shoulder design didn't bother me, since they have so much clothing and gear you can't tell, really. They look fine. Pretty high-end for Toy Biz, too.

Like them, Just wish they did come out with the Captain America they had displayed back then. I guess they plan on trying again, starting with Deadpool and Cap! Hope they make it out this time!!

What sucks is the guy that made that prototype Ultimate Cap (I think that's the one you're thinking of) died a while back. From what I gather, he was an awesome guy, as well as super talented. That figure was sweet.

I really liked this line and have Blade, DareDevil and the movie version of Wolverine. I noticed on Wolverine that his torso has some kind of rubber musculature/skin over the plastic body, which seems like a lot of effort to go to for a figure who is fully clothed. I wish the line lasted longer, they had incredible detail for a reasonable price.

What do you think of adapting the no shoulder design for MEGO scale?

I didn't like the shoulder design. I was disappointed that Captain America and Nick Fury [the original] never got made.
I am hoping very much that those voids will be filled by Captain Action's new releases.
                        Bugler, sound the advance.

I think I picked up the military style Wolverine for less than twenty bucks a while back. Probably still in his package somewhere, so I never examined the shoulder design.

These were definitely a step up from the previous iterations of the Toy Biz 12" cloth figures though.

Maybe two steps up--those were sad looking! I actually have the busty Spider-Man, which is laughable, really.
