I got my DCUC Wave 16 order today from Entertainment Earth. I just opened these puppies up and thought I'd give a quick review.
Robin- The reason I ordered this wave. This is my favorite era of Robin, the Teen Wonder years. Great figure. Synthesizes the best of Dick Giordano, Don Newton, Jim Aparo and George Perez into one figure. A home-run. He's shorter than the adult figures, but taller than the previous teen figures like Beast Boy Kid-Flash and Tim/Robin.
Robin variant head- It's a bit odd to see the old spit curls on the teenaged Robin's body, but I still like it. Reminds me of Marshall Roger's take on Robin. I think I'll keep this one MOC and put him in the Robin shrine.
Riddler- A solid figure, just like you'd expect from DCUC. I'm a bit surprised they didn't use the skinnier body for him. But he looks like Riddler as seen on the Super Powers era style guide artwork. A lost Super Powers style figure if you will
Azrael Batman- As much as I hated this guy, this is a cool looking figure. My only minor gripe is mine has some gray paint slopped on his gold rib armor.
Jonah Hex - WOW. This is one of the best figures in this line. The detail on him is off the chain. You can tell they paid extra attention to old Hex. He has subtle bullet holes and blood stains (!) on his confederate jacket! His facial scars look about as real as you're going to get in this scale. His gums have a nasty gloosy look about him. His clothes have a weathered look. Again, a fantastic figure.
Creeper - I was a bit on the fence about getting the Creeper, but I really like him now. His colors really pop. I kind of wish his face was more Ditkoesque. It almost seems like they took an unused Joker sculpt and ran with it. But I still like having him to mix into the standard long underwear types
Mercury - My first Metal Man. I honestly wouldn't have got him if I didn't want to build Bane. He's a cool figure though. I'm just not much on the Metal Men. But now I feel I have to get Gold and Iron. Crap.
Bane - This guy is HUGE. But not out of scale huge, just venom-pumped huge. Another solid figure. You can use your old Batman line Bane as a before and this guy after Venom.
All-Star Black Batman - I already have this guy, but he came in the case. I may sell him in the marketplace, or keep him back for the boy for a school incentive or something. He's a nice, logical variant of Batman. Comes with a stand, no Bane piece.
I'll try and post some pics later, but I'm on dial-up and trying to load photos is like pulling teeth.
