Toshiro Mifune Combined Fleet Commander Winter Uniform (navy blue) Poseable Figure 15%OFFAmiAmi English Site

That's about $83 plus shipping from Japan?

I've never seen Midway. Sounds like it's worth catching?

Mifune in Midway (1976), which also starred Charlton Heston and Robert Mitchum and a few other big names.

It's from 3R and FEWTURE and it's two releases: the blue uniform or the white.

    - Open hand x 1 set (bendable)
    - Navy blue uniform
    - Black shoes, black hat and white gloves
    - Binoculars, leather case and lens cover
    - Belt
    - Knife
    - Navy sword
    - Underwear and socks
    - Wooden chair (w/ white cloth cover)

and you can see the leaps and bounds from the Yojimbo head sculpt of a decade past (currently selling for about $500).

I'm sure it might not be too hard to find samurai gear at 1/6th scale from an online store out of Hong Kong or Japan to dress him up.

Midway is on instant play on Netflix. Going to have to watch it...I just pre-ordered this from Viking Playground. After shipping/handling, I paid about $100 for it. I just don't want to snooze and lose. This figure is after all, Mifune. The headsculpt is so real compared to the two I have seen online.

I bought the summer version. I'm just so excited. I never thought I would see such a perfect likeness of Mifune. This sculpt would also do very well for Red Sun.

Wow that's pretty incredible detail I can see why you like it. And the price seems pretty reasonable too.

Oh yeah, the Alfrex figures used to be a big deal, but this new one buries the Alfrex one, sculpt-wise. (although I'd still like an Alfrex Zatoichi). But man, this new Mifune figure is incredible.

When I first saw this figure posted, I thought it would easily be $300 like the Bruce Lee figures, because the detail is so wonderfully done--doesn't look cheap at all, and dang that sculpt is just so awesome!

                That sculpt is photo real.
                Excellent!

I saw Midway back in the old days. Not exactly the greatest war movie ever made, but OK...

Even the deluxe version is fairly reasonable as these things go... it comes with both outfits and a table! $176.

It looks like the real guy. That's some nice detail especially for the price.

Is that company called 3R, http://www.ThirdReich.us? (judging from that last photo with the table)

The line may be aptly named, true, but I'm guessing these won't be available at Toys 'R Us....
