1997 Burger King Universal monsters ??

    Hiya folks

I gots a couple of questions about the 3 3/4 Universal Monster figures from the BK kids club circa 1997.

    - were these ever reused for another fast food premium?

    - I know Drac has a coffin. Do the other figures have any accessories?

    thanks in advance

The Frankenstein came with a grey operating table that consisted of 3 pieces that you put together. It had a little light in it to illuminate Frank's translucent head. And each figure came with nifty glow-in-the-dark stickers.

To my knowledge they were never re-used for any other premiums.

      hmmm.

So I should be looking for these dudes in the bags then? I don't seem to see them with accessories when they are loose.

      thanks

Yeah, in bags are the way to go, if you can find them.

Interesting, this BK promo shows the Wolfman with some kind of coffin/crate-like accessory as well. I didn't know he came with one (click on the second photo):

I actually have a loose set I was going to sell in the Marketplace (minus stickers and Wolfman's crate, or whatever it is). I thought it was mint and complete, but Drac's arm is a bit wobbly and the light in Frank's table doesn't work... and anyway, sounds like you want them "completely" complete.

the wolfie tomb thing is what made me wonder what these fellows came with.
I had seen a Creech in a bag and don't remember it having anything other than the figure, and I knew drac came with a coffin; but then I saw a wolfman with a crypt type thing and was wondering if all of them had a 'background' type item as an accessory.

          looks like
          frank - lab table
          drac - coffin
          wolfie - tomb
creech - nada, zip, nothin' - but that is 'cos the creech don't need no stinkin' accessory.

pm me with what you want for your set and perhaps we can work out a deal.
thanks for the info - rche

Wow. $4.95 for the 4 page Club Adventures flier. I started collecting these in 2000 than my lunch BK stopped using them. I have several holes in my collection of Club Adventure Fliers.
Too many toys. Not enough space!

Wow! Those bring back memories. I worked at BK from 16 - 21. Or you could say from '93-'98. I happen to have those 4 and I have a poster we put up there with them on it. It was what was on display when folks came in. A pretty good size too.

Great stuff. I still bring them out on Holloween for display. Isn't there a 2nd Unifversal Monster set? Maybe it was from another fats food chain?

I have a set I gave to my son to play with. The Wolfman does come with a "crate-like" thing he emerges from. I thought it looked like a cellar door myself.

The Creature squirts water, that's his gimmick.
