NFL Team Mate figures reinvented?

I was roaming around on Ebay and came across these figures I have never heard about. They are called NFL "Playmakers" and are reminiscent of the vintage Team Mates line of the 70's. Not an exact replica, but it certainly appears to be inspired AND reasonable! They have like 14 different players. Pretty cool!

That's pretty neat and has anyone else noticed how small the McFarlane logo has gotten on their products?

You have to really search the package to find it and they used to be have several large logos on them. I wonder if they are realizing the stigma the McFarlane toys has earned for their reputation of making inarticulated adult themed figures. I give the company props for getting back to making actual toys again with thier recent Halo, NFL and Prince of Persia lines.

they also have them as baseball figures as well. their sculpts are not bad for their scale.

I think the beauty of the Action Team Mates was that there was no Staubach or Romo. Back then, the NFL promoted Teams not individual players. You were able to choose the player you wanted from your favorite team.
