    Batman Inc

Given the lead time to produce and manufacture toys, it is fascinating how this line is coming out right on top of the Batman Inc storyline.

Between this and Blackest Night figures, I don't think a toy/comic book company has been this co-ordinated since the nineties when Maximum Carnage debuted in multi-platforms via Marvel/Toy Biz.

It will be interesting to see what picks up the slack if DC Direct does go away.

The Knight looks great. DCD Shoulda made The Squire too ...

What Do you mean if DCD Goes away Ed ?
I don't think they ever would. With the Sucess of the Blackest Night Figures Alone, I would believe on an Epic Scale, Similar to the Ross figures, It's ensured the Staying power of the Company, atleast for yrs to come again. Next Yr, the GL Busts and Lanterns come out as well, which will also be Huge for them.

There's been some scuttlebutt that with the recent corporate restructing DC Direct could go bye-bye....

          As Anthony says.

Publishing stays in New York (for now), but with everything else in the DC Entertainment empire moving over to the Left Coast, particularly licensing, DCD is caught somewhere between that.

As Toy Biz discovered via Marvel, at the end of the day it might be easier and more lucrative to just to license all the Diamond merch out rather than doing it in house. With Mattel getting on board the Coloured Lantern/Blackest Night gravy train, it does look like there is potentially a bit of duplication.

I can't remember, is he making the Adam Hughes Marvel-female statues? Those are pretty sweet. It would be great to get the matching DC versions.

Although the DC Women busts based on Hughes art from DCD are pretty up there for me.

I just don't like the Batman costume. Looks like he's getting ready to go skiing.

I read somwhere that George Brewer is leaving DCD too. Not sure when though.

I dunno.... I'd bet the marketing was planned well ahead of the comics.

the comic storylines are mapped out at least a year in advance so the toys probably get rolling around then too
