I just scored a Loose Val on Ebay for 16 ..., which She was the only 1 I wanted ..., Can't wait to pose Her with my Thor and Ares ..., and I Got a Bid on a Warpath.

I didn't even know these were out there, other than stumbling on the Val/Hulk pack today. I doubt I will see them either. Are these 25 dollar packs, or 30 ? ... I can't remember.

Imo the Hasbro Marvel Legends figures mostly can't compare to the DCUC. So my opinions are mostly based on the Toybiz vs DCUC figures.

I think that the recent DCUC figures have better paint apps overall than the old ML figures. Some ML waves had great paint apps while others looked sloppy.

Articulation wise ML out guns DCUC plus they didn't reuse the same body sculpt quite as much as DCUC (later Hasbro caught up). But the bad side is that some ML figures had too much articulation and could barely stand correctly ( wave 1Captain America). I used to love the old comics that came with the ML figures which were dropped later.

The greatest advantage ML had over DCUC is the price point. Until recently the ML figures were of at least okay quality but where $7 to $9. The DCUC figures are $15 and I mostly can't afford to buy any real numbers of them. The DCUC are better quality than the Hasbro MLs and may be on a par with the older Toybiz figures in areas (exceeds in some) but I will say that if one had to spend $15 the DC figures beats Hasbro MLs hands down.

If you do go back, I split the 2 pack cost with you for the Hulk.

And I gotta go with the DCU also. Always been a DC guy. Most of my Marvel purchases lately have been Hot Toys and Kotobukiya.

I prefer the Hasbro Marvel Legends to the DCUC, but probably DCUC to the ToyBiz Legends. ToyBiz missed as often as they hit, but Hasbro is much more consistent overall.

DCUC is basically three molds over and over, so it's not hard to have them lose when stacked up against tons of different molds. There have been more Hulk molds than there have been DCUC molds in total.

I still like DCUC, though, and there is something to be said for their uniformity.

I can't believe there is not much love for the Marvel Legends. Sculpting and paint aps? Compare something like X man Bishop to the Martian Man hunter. Articulation? Individual finger articulation here folks come on get real. Assessories? Comics , build a figure parts, flying stands. Nuff said. And lastly BAF beat CAC hands down. Sentinel. Nuff said.

Marvel Legends were always hit and miss here, especially the Walmart and Target waves. We never got the Red Hulk or Spider-man movie waves, as well as some of the others. I have bought some to steal pieces off of to use on custom Megos.

I loved the Toybiz MLs, I stop collecting MLs after Hasbros first wave, quality went down hill imho. I have a load of DCUC, but I like to display the Marvel characters in zombie fashion.

I had the whole Marvel Legends line untill they started doing reissues of characters. By the time Hasbro got them i was tired. I think the only Hasbro i bought was Kirby Captain America. Sentinel didnt look like a sentinel. Galactus was awesome.

What i liked was there were so many things in the same scale. i used a LOAD of Wrestling gear for break apart furniture, sets, and teh Muppets Pigs n Space Bridge. And teh ET reissue movie figures made a great Van that suits The Punisher fine.

But the poseablity got to the point that they werr like rubber bands. Floppy. It had to start somewhere. Toys have improved learned.

I have heard since Legends started that DC Direct was teh line to watch for long term value. I only had a couple and they broke. ( Dark Knight, Gotham by Gaslight)

The DCU figures were not tempting untill I started to see characters like Vigilante and Dr Midnite. But they are too articulated and i dont like teh frankenstien look anymore.

And I have never liked Mattel . Not the biggest DC fan either. Outside of the War and Horror stuff.
