Question about the 8" Sideshow Creature

The soon to arrive Diamond retro Universal Monsters have renewed my inerest in the movie monsters. Plus, Brian's (Palitoy's) AHI sale really got thinking about completing my AHI line. I was looking online for an AHI Creature from the Black Lagoon, and ran across the Sideshow 8" Creature. It looks really nice and I thought it would fit in nicely with the new Diamond monsters. If anyone has one, I have a question. Is the Creature truly 8" and would display well with the new figures coming out as well as the AHI monsters? It might be a less expensive substitute for an AHI Creature since I haven't quite convinced myself to buy and AHI one.

I have one, he's a little over 8 1/4" tall, so standing next to a Mego, he's about a half head taller. It's a great figure, but I'm not sure how well he would mix in with vintage figures, he's so well detailed that he looks modern. After reading your post, I stood him next to my Mad Monsters, and he did look a bit out of place, IMO. It's a really cool figure though.

I agree with cjefferys. The Sideshow Creech, while a great figure, doesn't really fit in with Megos.

It's only Mego-like in scale. While gorgeously sculpted, that line was not well articulated. The detail is tremendous though, and it's a stunning figure. I actually prefer it to the AHI.

Why not wait for the Diamond Select Creature to come out though? A mego one is coming, and there's a Sideshow-like 8" already on the way.

Thanks for letting me know about the figure. It does look extremely detailed. Is Diamond making a Creature for sure? I wonder if it will have a cloth suit? Also, who's manufacturing the Sideshow-like Creature that's already coming out? I'll have to check it out.
