    Blythe's return

Was in Toys R Us today looking for the Wave Two of the Mattel stuff(Only had Aquaman and Black Manta) and saw her packed with some of those Littlest Pet Shop stuff.

I take it it's the miniature Blythes from Hasbro Japan and not the full on actual dolls, right?

Remakes of those were available in several gift catalogs years ago. When I was a kid, I had the blonde one, so I got the repro of her. She stands proudly in my toyroom.

'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

        I bought a bunch of those Ashton-Drake re-issues a while back.
One was for my daughter and the rest for my then wife. The redhead my wife had got it's hair burnt off by accident so she gave it to me and I bought her another one.
I stripped it and planned on making a boy Blythe but never found someone that could re-root the cap. Nor a proper body.
My daughters sports a long pink wig and stylish punk clothes.
My ex got a vespa with a sidecar and posed her dolls on it. Then she made mod clothes to go with the dolls. Really cool. Wish I took picks.
I was hoping they would sell the original dolls in the states through Hasbro but apparently too many kids still think this doll is creepy. LOL

The Littlest Pet Shop Blythes are not vintage size.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

              Thanks Werewolf.

Just saw these and they are the Japanese mini versions that have been around for the past 5 years. My ex stayed away from these since they look awkward in comparison to the actual vintage ones.
Still hoping for vintage ones to come so they are cheaper and better to customize.

Been popular in the underground pop culture in the past 5 years more so the mods that have surfaced and even in PSA commercials and adverts for Anti-Smoking. Of course modified a bit.
Still need to finish my boy version some day with custom colored eyes and hair.
