I need help finding Marvel and DC toys for my son

Hello, I'm trying to find matching scale sets of Marvel and DC heroes for my 5 year old son. He wants Batman, Spider-Man, Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, Superman, Green Lantern, Captain America, Flash and Shazam. I would buy the Retro figures but so far there are no Marvel figs. Any scale will do, just as long as DC and Marvel heroes match and have a lot of heroes. Any ideas?

Man I miss the good old days when Marvel and DC played nice together under the Mego banner.

    Hasbro .

    9incher's .

They Made both Marvel, And DC , same body, same Style .

Then get the Famous Cover's Thor, Ironman and Hulk . With Ironman's armor,... and Thor as well as Hulk's "size" they will fit in Nicely imo.

There's also a new Movie 8" Ironman on shelves right now.

    No Shazam! however .

        Signature Series for Marvel
        Silver Age for DC
DC also has a couple of differnet ones, like an Alter Ego Dress Up Batman and Superman .

The DC Infinite Heroes and the small Marvel figures they're selling are about the same size, aren't they? Just don't stand the DC next to the Marvel figures, as the DC ones are a little goofy looking.

If you go with the 9" figures, there's a nice Batman and Robin set, and I really like the Green Lantern, Green Arrow, and Martian Manhunter they did in that school. Unfortunately, I don't think they made any of the the ladies. The closest I can think of is that Golden Age Wonder Woman doll they did that came with a coffee table book. I have one - it's not a fantastic doll, but it would be the same size. DC COMICS WONDER WOMAN PVC FIGURE 9¨ TALL WONDER WOMAN - eBay (item 230517724855 end time Sep-02-10 15:00:55 PDT)

Sadly, no. They did do a lot of figures, though. From memory:

                Green Lantern
                Original Green Arrow
                Aquaman
                Superman
                Martian Manhunter
                Electric Blue Superman
                Secret Identity Superman
                Secret Identity Batman
                Dick Sprang Batman and Robin
                First Appearance Batman
                Joker
                Penguin
                Batman Beyond

And they also did some Racecar Drivers, Dale Earnhardt included. I think there were three total.

The Marvel Signature Series also used the same body, but they didn't make a Thor, Ironman, or Hulk (But Famous Covers did). Plenty of Spider-Men to choose from though - Classic, Black Suit, Iron Spider, and the Cap figure is really nice.

You should be able to find the Infinite Heroes (DC) and Marvel Universe figures at retail if you look hard enough.

I saw Batman again a few weeks back, and the Marvel figures are out there in abundance. The only problem with the Infinite Heroes was Mattel packed in a bunch of pegwarmers nobody knew into the early waves, and they ares still choking up the shelves. But if you look around you can probably find the characters you are looking for.
