Adventure Team 3 3/4" Land Adventurer Review

This Carded figure is a Convention Exclusive. HE came with a Yellow ATV which might be an old vehicle in yellow. The card is great because we finally get a A Team File card.

I bought the figure without the vehicle. When the 30th anniversary 3 3/4 Action Pilot etc boxed set was released it contained a minature GI Joe 60's space capsule. I would have liked to see this done instead of an easy repaint in Yellow.

The figure is in the 25th anniversary super articulated style. I'm not a fan of the style. I bought the first Snake Eyes and he seemed to have the posture and stability of a Rubber Band.

This Land Adventurer comes with a plain black backpack, a scoped sniper rifle and a 44 Magnum . And a Grey vest. He has the A Team logo on under the removable vest. I LOVE the accurate Camo pattern. The 30th style didn't include the signature red spots on the suit , this one does.

Some of the spots are unpainted which can be a sore thumb in Camo . So I used a DVD labeling 4 color set of markers to finish the ppattern on the knees, under the ribcage etc . .

Whats really nice about the sculpt is unlike most later GI Joe characters Land Adventurer is just a guy in some Camo Pajamas. No bulky holsters, pouches, grenades, packs etc.

However I think they could have done better than the silly gray vest he comesw with. Removable gear is the new thing with the 25th line. An accurate shoulder holster and A team dogtag would have been nice. I'm glad the Dog Tag was not sculpted on.

The hands might be sculpted to be "Kung Fu" but I can't tell . I would have liked hands in the original distinct style . ( The very rare non cupped hand on the 30th 3 3/4 GI Joe was a nice touch) A Halmark ornament pair of hands might be right.

Why should the hands be so meticulous? To match the AMAZING head! It's a Minaturized GI Joe head. The "Realstic Lifelike Hair and Beard " throws it off. But it actually LOOKS like a TEENSY GI Joe.

For the sake of room and the more model like quality of the 3 inch line I would love to see more. I think a 3 inch scale Mobile Team Headquarters would be Wonderful, AND the Adventure Team would be the BEST idea for rereleasing the same character in a dozen different uniforms. Radiation Detection, Demolition, White Tiger.

A miniature toy of a toy. Excites my Geek hurts my Brain.

    Biggest drawback ?

    $25 bucks.

I think maybe ONE is plenty

I'm not in the club and have never been to a Joe Con. I think I would go nuts then bankrupt!

I saw theres a Sea Adventurer on the card but I havent found him.

I have only seen the Air Adventurer, Team Commander, Dr Venom, and the land adventurer.

Venom ( looks just like the early GI Joe comics character) and the Commander come with a giant venus fly trap from a previous exclusive set. Air Adventurer comes with a yellow Cobra Fang reissue and the Land comes with that 6 wheeler with the nice storage compartment.

      Wheres the Sea adventurer?
