Batman Brave and Bold Happy Meal Toys

Picked up Batman and Joker tonight.

Do folks in the US get boxes with their happy meals now? We've only got a brown paper bag with little lame comic strips on them... although it indicates that there might be Plastic Man and Blue Beetle toys in this set?

Just googled them... here they all are.

Went today and got Plastic Man (#4 on the package). It was the only one they had. I'll try other McD's next week and see if they have something different.

I went this AM and picked up a bag of Batman. Pretty neat looking. I have yet to open them. That was the only one this particular location had. I guess they are going by the book here at this location and only releasing the first one first and one at a time??

Also they were like almost $2.00 a piece. A bit higher than what I was expecting. The last promo for the Marvel Heroes was only a buck a piece. Hmmm.....Maybe something good about the code game will come out of this extra pricing. At least I did not have to eat the nasty food though.

That is why I always end up buying the meal... two bucks for a toy or four bucks for the toy and meal.

Is that black tripod thing Manta's ship?

The boxes sure are neat. If I'm down in the US in the next couple of weeks I'll have to get one.

The box I got was red on 2 sides and then 1 side was BBB and 1 side was Madam Alexander. It didn't look anything like yours.

I was kind of curious about the code game so I went and opened up one of my Batman's.

From what I have gathered so far the code is good for unlocking different things in a virtual world. You start out by signing up to retain your points and you pick a character and dress them up, name it and etc. There is a message on my insert that says "use this code to unlock your virtual Batmobile". I thought that maybe that would be neat to do. I never did use the code yet as this seems to be geared more toward the kids than adults. Hence for Happy Meal for kids. So that is basically as far as I went.

Oops. It appears I googled up the South American box.

Our French/English brown paper bags have Madam Alexander on them as well.

We got that same red box with B/B & madame alexander on it. My daughter and I each ordered one but she wanted the doll (I got Batman-yay!). After we left the drive-thru she opened the box & found last months Little Pet shop toy instead of the doll. Not a happy camper. Told her she should have went with Batman.

Picked up Plastic Man and Aquaman today. It amused me that the girl at the counter referred to him as "Elastic Man"... which is probably a more accurate name for him if we were going by what his powers are.

I went to a McD's inside a Walmart this morning and asked the nice lady which Batman toy they had this week. To my surprise she said "All of them". She said they are so small they can't go through a case of just one figure in a week so they are sent all of them. So I scored a complete set. Nice way to begin a very long and tiring day.

Got Plas on Friday. It was a painful experience. I was off on Friday, and the wife and I got lunch from McD's just to get the toys. There were posters up on the windows, and the figures were showcased in the little display case. We ordered two Happy Meals me and my son would both have one. When I got to the car I saw they had put old Happy Meal toys in (Last Air Bender and Lego Racers). I didn't have time to argue, so I just kept them in the car, to exchange for later.

I went back later that day, after picking up my son from school, and they still had the old toys. I told them they didn't need to advertise the toys if they didn't have them out. The girl at the counter assured me they would go to the back and get them. A half hour later, I finally got them! Our McD's has the worst service, and it's employees the worst attitude of any fast-food joint I've ever been in.

Wow! That sucked. Glad to hear that all turned out well eventually though.

I thought my story was bad. I went into a McD's and asked one of the workers which toys they had right now. This gal kind of bends down just a little bit and looks about a second and then tells me all we have right now is The Batman toys. I was like Ok. After all who am I to argue. I already had a bag full of Batman so I just left.

Later that night I got to replaying that scenario back in my mind. So the next day I went back to the SAME location and asked a different person who was at the counter at that time. This other person went in the back and brought out Plastic Man and Aquaman. Either the other employee was too lazy to really look OR "maybe" a new shipment came in the next day.

I really kind of doubt the new shipment thing so I am still going to chalk it up as the other employee being lazy and not giving a rip. The first employ just did not seem real energetic to begin with.

Today I went to a different location and picked up some Jokers and Green Arrow's.
