Gentle Giant 12" Vintage Boba Fett

It took me 3 days waiting in line to get one.

They would sell out everyday at the Gentle Giant Booth within minutes of the doors opening.

General Public got in at 10AM

But dealers on the first day were allowed to buy as many as they wanted starting at 9AM before the show officially started. That ****ed quite a few people off. Me included.

They were $85 each, but dealers have 5 and 6 at each booth selling for $180 or more. And people were desperate enough to pay it. Not me though. I hate scalpers.

Day two they limited the amount to 2 each person, they handed out tickets but they still ran out. Thanks to dealers.

Finally snagged one yesterday when they limited to ONE a person, and kicked ALL dealers out of line. Tomorrow on G4 TV on Attack of the Show, I should be showing up on camera as Daniel Logan attempts to buy one. I was several people behind him.

They only sold 150 per day of the show. They are hold 90 for website sales. Your best bet is to try them if you want one. It is AWESOME!

Did you pick up at Rocket Launch Fett?
I heard some people were selling those there.

To get a mail away Fett, you had to buy one of 3 cases for $106. Each case had 12 figs, 6 Empire, 6 Revenge of the Sith. 4 of which were special foil carded ones.

The cases sold out on day 1 within minutes... bought by dealers who were charging $60 for the Fett and $20 a piece on the foil figures.

Are they going to sell the Fetts through the GG site store as well? I noticed the Stormtrooper is up there for sale.

I hate scalpers myself, but depending on what and where you bought your figures to get the mail away Fett + the $6.99 shipping, you still have got $50-$60 tied up into getting the mail away figure, the $60 doesn't seem too bad now and there is no leg work.

Lynn, I just bought them from some guy on ebay. $10 for a set of POP and form, plus the $6.99 to mail. Came out to $18 bucks per Fett. So not bad me thinks.
I managed to get 3 on the way. I hope soon since my check has already been cashed as well.

I'm not a big fan of many of the scalpers myself, but I can't completely blame them either. They know that there's going to be a big demand for these figures well after the convention is over, so I can understand them wanting to get some. But the extent of how many they purchase and not leaving enough for the general public who attend the fest is what irks me, and it's very much also a major fault that they allowed dealers to purchase so much on the first day before the doors even opened, that's REALLY unfair. At the very least they should've only done something like that perhaps on the last day, and even then.....

Looks highly unlikely that I will get the 12" Stormtrooper or Boba Fett at this rate, as much as I really want these figures, I just don't think I'll be able to swing the after-market prices on 'em.

I WILL get a mail-away Rocket Firing Fett though, darn it!!!
