I gotta admit, I'm impressed. But I can't see myself buying one. Not just because I don't really collect Star Wars anymore but more so because I'm just kind of sick of all the "super detailed" likenesses. I sorta miss the simplicity in toys. This is another one of those pieces that is almost a statue instead of a toy.

Yes, I tend to agree with you. Sadly, this is what used to be called toys are coming to. Statues for grown ups/collectors to display and not touch. I think "toys" as we knew them growing up will become a thing of the past eventually.

I have yet to find or see one in the actual store yet. I would venture to guess around $30.00 IMO. Don't hold me to that though that is only just a guestimate.

He'd look great in that cardboard diorama that Hasbro released years ago. Like all the new Hasbro stuff, it's cool - but it does lack the charm of the original Kenner stuff. Kenner's Jabba had the articulated (non-rubber) tail and those cool jewel-like eyes. I like that one better.

It was $38.68 at our Walmart... I said was.. I'm just going by what the sticker on the shelf said and there was no more on it.

Thanks for that Lynn. Now we know for sure. I kind of figured that I would be guessing a bit low in these days in time. Everything has went up and keeps going up not down.

That does not surprise me in the least that there was not any left on the shelf. There are "A LOT" of die hard Star War fans out there.

We have the really nice Slave Leia that you can interchange the torso and pose her sitting. We're definitely getting Jabba to display with her.

Isn't that ate up? One can buy a vintage Jabba for less than a newer one. One would think that generally vintage toys would go up in value. Atleast it should be worth more than the new one I would think.

Then again SLU and The Spawn figures tanked pretty hard and never recovered as of yet either.
